Santander 123 Accounts Only Two Per Person

Just had a phone call from my local branch manager about the Santander 123 Account, which from Monday the 24th of June is being limited to only Two Accounts Per Person, this is apparently due to the 3% rate for this account being so popular with investors. The last day to open multiple (more than two) 123 Accounts in branch will be Saturday the 22nd June.

Not doubting your branch manager, but would be good if one of our Santander insiders could confirm :cool:

If the last day for opening is 22nd June then restricting it to 2 accounts per person from 24th June sounds a pretty pointless statement, no ?

Hmmm

I read OP's post as meaning the last day to open multiple (more than 2?) 123 accounts, is Saturday 22 June. From 24 June, limit of 2 per person to be introduced.

Just updated the original post to make it little clearer and added multiple (more than two) in branch.
