    Morning paw sniffers,

So pleased that at least half the Elite's toilets would pass the Harpic test. Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that the other half can get them glitching in A.

    Gorgeous day here:j

Anyone wilting on the diet that needs a bit of support.....just shout:)

We're you joking SFSB last night about the vodka:naughty::)
Ok, maybe I only had two fifths of a litre..:p

Had a lovely bingeing pizza and beer day on Sunday and weighed myself yesterday morning for the first time. Day one yesterday and ate loadsa veggies and drank loadsa liquid.

The scales claim I am 7lbs lighter this morning. How did that happen??:j

I reckon I must lose about 1lb every morning. Like clockwork. I call it 'me time':D.

They did something about this on a fun science show that I can't recall the name of at the mo. They weighed themselves before and after. It actually did not make much difference :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning all

Survived day one but enjoyed my diet hot chocolate at bedtime. Was up in the night several times and didn't sleep well but was not hungry.

I will be mindful of what I am eating today.

I don't think it is a good idea to get on the scales straight after a fast day as sometimes weightloss takes time to show and you can get disheartened.
Mine you I have not had my starting weight recorded yet as not at dr until tomorrow, then will only be weighed every month.

Thanks to the op last night re dtd. I sent a t's a message on facebook last night and they are sending me a giftcard for £24. Acccording to them if a product scans at sel price but you are then charged more when you upload data at checkout you are entitled to dtd.

I will feel more confident about asking next time but thrilled with my first dtd.

Good morning all and well done to the 5:2 ers, tbw please do not be upset at what looks like a stale mate on the scales, this could be for many reasons and you really cannot judge the success on just one day, please do not give up as I am sure all the others will testify it will be up and down days, as it is I would be very pleased with myself if I was you as you stuck to it and completed the first fast day:jgood luck with the next one.:)

A suggestion for the 5:2's ers.

A variation on SW speedy soup - adjust the ingredients for personal choice:-

    Stock cube crumbled (chicken/beef/veg)
Tin chopped tomatoes (must have loads of these in the cupboard:rotfl::rotfl:)
Chopped celery, carrots, peppers and leeks (lots of)
(SW adds lentils, beans etc - I use 5 beans as I have a 'store' of these ;))

Put all into a large pan, cover with water, put the lid on and simmer till veg are soft. I use only enough water to cover as this produces a thicker soup. It is very filling, for very few calories. Also feels like you are eating 'proper' food and not dieting. Have this throughout the day.

Thanks for this, I do most of my shopping with the handheld scanners so that's really helpful to know (although to be fair my T's are very good at handing out DTD without even asking :D)
