Morning
How's everyone feeling this morning after yesterday? I feel pretty good and thinner too, which I wasn't expecting to happen
And I only got up once in the night for the loo
Morning,
I don't feel any thinner but I was shocked at what the scales told me this morning. When do we officially weigh in is it once a week?
Wont get too excited too soon as guess some of it might go back on now it's a normal day.
I didn't actually feel hungry until about 9am this morning, had slight tummy rumbles. But nothing to what I am usually used to. :rotfl:
Have eaten a very thick slice of toast with butter but don't feel I need anymore yet. :T0 -

Officially once a week, unless you can handle the ups and downs of weighing daily. I can, and I do but my weigh in on Fridays is the only one that counts. During the course of the week, if I dont like what I see on the scales, then I know I need to try harder, and if I do like what i see, then I need to keep doing what I am already doing
Bodies are funny things. There are lots of different things that can affect weight loss. Hormones are the biggest problem, followed by dehydration and constipation, which often comes at the beginning of a new regime, as it takes a while for the body to get used to the changes. Drinking plenty of water will help combat toilet troubles as well as dehydration

Emily_Rachel wrote: »Hello, Please give it time tbw. Don't weigh yourself every day. That way lies madness, as our body weight changes naturally by a pound or two day to day, depending on time of day, time of month, whether you have just ingested or egested....etc.! Measure your waist and hips now, and weigh and measure yourself after a week. If you are doing the 5:2 diet you will lose 2 or 3 pounds a week, and the inches will drop off. You do get a bit of a headache at the start, but you are rather shocking your body by not feeding it for hours, and then only feeding it a quarter of what it thinks it "needs". And you are probably eating far less sugar, less caffeine, less chocolate. Drink loads of water and stick with it.
I'm not giving up and have another Fast day planned for Friday. When I can't eat 'properly' I can't be doing with faffing about in the kitchen so will stick to really easy 'minimum preparation' stuff - probably going to live on Heinz 5 beans (from my stash), mushroom omelettes , cottage cheese, jelly and a small jacket spud.
Trouble is, I have always hopped on and off the scales frequently. I only really take note of my weight last thing at night though. I will almost certainly continue weighing daily but will try to focus on the weekly weights only. I currently weigh around 10st 9lb and am 5'3" tall. I've never been thin and am realistic enough to know that the best I will achieve is a 'comfortable' weight for me - I reckon that I am aiming for a loss of 7 - 9 lbs.
I will stick with it and see what happens - my next holiday is a river cruise in mid August and I would like to lose weight before then - to allow for the inevitable minimum 4lb gain which happens everytime I go way!ELITE 5:2

I think my lack of food yesterday must have played with my brain, I did a big Approved food order in the early hours.
I have never ordered from them before and got a bit carried away, it's almost all food including chocolate which I am not short of.
Not sure what Mr TS will say when a big box arrives. I have no where to store any of it.
Just reorganised my stash shelves to fit on the cleaning stuff I got yesterday, glad I only got few things.
Found 2 boxes of MT I had forgotten about in a carrier bag by the side of the shelves that were right at the back of my bathroom. I have a feeling it is going to be a long time before it is ever a bathroom again.:o:o
