How do you have no admin experience? Everyone has admin experience.
    I just don't.

Also not everyone does - what about people on the check out at ASDA?

One needs admin skills to run a house, to manage one's finances etc.

no don't do any of those as I have no finances

Admin to me is running the MD diary, booking meeting rooms, managing the scanner, fax, copier, postal system in house, office move diary, incoming calls, typing, mail outs, databases including office maintenance and stationary orders etc. Never done anything like that.

I don't do any of those, and I'm one of the big bosses that sits in meetings all day. I don't keep a written diary, and my paperwork is occasionally a little off, but I can manage financial budgets and manage my own finances.

"Admin" is a large beast of a term and can mean many things. Executive PA work down to a filing clerk. Many different breeds of cat reside under that job term.

It can be as simple as organising diaries (but how many and for how demanding a schedule) and answering phones, or it could be using judgment on whether or not to digitally sign documents for the executive in their absence and forward them up the chain.

I think people underestimate how time consuming and stressful administrative work can be, as it tends to be all behind the scenes.

Yes but you do love to put obstacles in the way.

There will be countless jobs that you can do or learn to do very quickly, if something asks for 'intermediate excel skills' you put that on your CV and you blag it. If you get the job spend a weekend learning the basics of excel and no one will be the wiser.

You have to play the system, there are many skills you ca confident blag to having and learn without anyone ever realising. As long as you are not lying about qualifications, or pretending to have 20 years of medical experience you will be fine.

This is so apparent in my work that I or another analyst is asked to pop into the interview and ask some basic IT questions to ensure people aren't lying as we have many who do.
