Irrelevant though. They shouldn't be disturbing me in the first place. I have two young children, I'm often busy with them/housework. Not sure why I should be inconvenienced because they're inconsiderate gits.
So having 2 young children means you are more deserving of not being cold called?
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

    My sign says:
    NO COLD CALLERS.

    This means no
    - Sales canvassers (double glazing, gas, electricity, cleaning supplies or otherwise)
    - Preachers (I don't need salvation, it's too late, move on)
    - Photographers (I have my own camera and a white sheet, job done)
    - Police (I didn't do it, honest)

    HOWEVER
Feel free to knock if you are
    - The postie (I like you, you're ok)
    - A courier (No, really, knock the door, stop leaving cards when I'm home!)
    - A window cleaner prepared to tackle this place for a good price)
    - Friends and family (if I like you)
    - People bringing me large amounts of money (I'll even make you a cuppa!)
    - A milkman
I cannot imagine that any self-respecting cold caller is going to bother to even try to read all that. :D

No, my sign makes me deserving of not being cold called (thus why I don't need to state I have two children.
The fact is, I do not want these people at my door, I have put a sign up stating this. If they choose not to respect that and ring the bell anyway, they're clearly complete a$sholes.

The point is, my children are the main reason I don't want cold calls, I don't want to be disturbed and have to evict them from my lap if I'm having a cuddle with them, I don't want them to be disturbed if they're napping/eating/whatever.

The fact is, I've put a sign up saying "No cold callers", what gives them the right to ignore that and disturb me and my family?

I'm quite surprised how many people think it's reasonable to ignore one of these signs.

It started out as just "no cold callers" an got gradually added to after people knocked at the door who decided that they weren't cold callers.

Then why tell us on the forum if you don't feel it's relevant? You're clearly using it as part of your argument. It was sarcasm anyway.

No one likes getting cold called, telephone or door-to-door. If you're huffing and puffing and getting all emotional everytime someone knocks then I reckon you're gonna stress the kids out more then the cold caller.

Are you the new forum troll or something?
I didn't say it wasn't relevant, as it's the whole reason I get peed off with cold callers! However, it shouldn't matter to them what my reasons are, the point is still the same. I do not want cold callers, therefore they should sod off.

Also, I'm hardly going to stress my children out of inget peed off by the 1-2 cold callers a year that are too stupid to read my sign or do as it asks.

:eek:So your saying its OK for an uninvited caller to ignore what the owner of the property has clearly stated, and for the caller to get aggresive and agitated when the owner gets aggresive and agitated when the numpty caller ignores what they are informed of in a pleasant manner in the 1st place:mad:

SORRY, but we have rights too, one of which is to protect our property from those who trespass, AND when the callers wont go away from mine, after being told they are unwanted, they are informed they are NOW tresspassing and I then have a right to protect my property, so be aware I WILL!

These !!!!!!'s are nothing but BULLY BOYS, and I dont like bully boys no matter who they try to bully, here, on my property, or on someone elses:mad:

Trespassing (believe it or not) is not a crime - it is a civil matter. I don't like cold callers either.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I help my Daughter deliver magazines, on her round there is one house that has a sign on the front gate saying "don't incur our wrath by cold calling. Really, don't".

    I love that sign.

Well, of course it is! You don't have authority over people. People often mirror the reaction they get so I'd blame your stubborn !!! for that one.
    :naughty:

:mad:I think you'll find that I DO have a legal authority over people on MY PROPERTY who are told they are not welcome, especially when the initial welcome they get is to politely point to the sign on my door and its is THEY who get nasty and aggresive:mad:

:mad:As for stubborn, DONT BE SO STUPID, I think I am entitled to know my own mind and when I need or want something to be able to decide where, when, and who I go to, rather than to have some ignorant STUBBORN money driven bully to make my decisions for me:mad:

I have to assume from your comment that you are one of the bullys:shhh:
