    Beautiful Tittans - gorgeous.

Absolutely streaming down - looks like someone chucking buckets of water at the windas.

Not many tatties per hulm, but they did taste rather good earlier on.

Awww kitten photos - lovely :j:j:j
Like Maggie I would be sorely tempted to put in a bid too if I was nearer :D

    How's DH today choille?

Things moving on for you Dave. It's one thing to decide what to do, but just as much work getting people who you can trust to do it! On the whole I am happy with what has been done here, but progress is soooo slow.

No hedge here to add the the 'hedge envy' conversation, but I thought you might like to see our little courtyard area. When we moved in there were just some sorry roses against the garage wall. Put in some hanging baskets and Mr BD made a tiered planter which is doing well considering it was only planted up 3 weeks ago. It gets a little sun first thing this time of year but is in shade for much of the day. Those pink slabs have to go though.....

It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

It looks quite lovely better days. I even quite like the pink slabs tbh, ok, I agree, I wouldn't choose them, but could live with them. They add warmth and look less raw than something new might. :)

Lovely colourful hanging baskets & planters BD.

I do like the colour of the wood - that greenish-grey, it's similar to what I've painted the house windows.

Just waiting on washing machine being delivered. I don't think they'll get a big truck down here. I bet the deliverer won't ever have delivered to a half bui;lt house before.

Weather very mixed today - 4 season's an all that. Managed to dig half a bed over & put in some 'teeny now' curly kale plants where the tatties have been lifted. Decided to go an get a couple of sacks of dung from the byre & wheeled that across - my backs killing me. Not as if I've done loads.

OH was at the docs earlier & they want him to take some more tablets just to make sure it's them that's causing the vertigo & sickness. He doesn't sound very keen on that idea at all - and who can blame him, he was so sick.

Lovely evening & a breeze so I hope to get some more outdoor stuff done.

I agree with others, Better Days, that patio area works with the pink slabs, so if you have to replace them, do it with something bold.

    Anyway, the courtyard's great. :T:T

We may have sorted our garage roof problem. :jIt was a long shot, but we decided to take a trip to a reclaim yard in Bovey Tracey this afternoon. There, we discovered a ridge tile with a deeper spread than ours and a perfect match colour-wise, so we bought 20.:D The man said it was unusual to have so many, as concrete tiles aren't valued so much and the ridges often don't come clean from the mortar holding them on.

Just need the builder's approval now.

Of course, this means we now know where to get more tiles for the kitchen roof if we run out, but at £2.50 each, I hope we don't. The 600 free ones now look very cheap!

Great stuff Dave - always good when things seem to slot into place.

Gorgeous sun set this evening. Went for a run in the car to take empty bottles I've been hoarding to the bottle bank & saw loads of herons down at the shore at the top of the Loch. The tides mega low. Must have been catching something.
