Remove your curtains, too? We're hoping it'll be weather-tight before the wet stuff returns. Just hope we're as lucky with the kitchen roof.
Picking up the extension to the chicken house today and kittens come some time at the weekend. Mum has had enough, left them and gone back to the barn. We have removed all the ornaments from the house! :rotfl:0 -
Well, we picked up the chicken shed extension this pm, having done a reasonable deal on price, but the shed man had forgotten the opening/closing window.

He normally just does hen houses with mesh openings, so his ready made windows wouldn't fit in the hole. He gave us the materials to make one ourselves, which was OK, but I think he's nearing retirement and getting sloppy!
Now I think about it, we could have had a large new shed for £200 more, kept the old one as a garden tool shed and saved a lot of hassle, doing this extension. Took my eye of the ball there......:o:o:o
Luckily, the garage re-roof is going better than our shed buying.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing
On the other hand I can end up dithering so much that no decision gets made at all until I absolutely have to.....
Looking forward to the kitten photos this weekend
Finally warmed up here this afternoon and the sun came out properly. Got an old friend visiting tomorrow which will be nice. Must remember to change the bed properly though and remove the waterproof mattress protector which was put on for the benefit of my nephews. Don't think my friend will appreciate rustling all night! It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Well, "the weekend starts here," as they used to say on Friday's 'Ready Steady Go!' (before most people's time!:rotfl:)Better_Days wrote: »

And while I'm messing up the page loading speed, here's a snap I took of a Hummingbird moth a few days back:

What a huge proboscis, eh?

I do love kittens - those are gorgeous.
I trimmed back some trees over in the weed/veg garden. Then we got a delivery of more flooring & some more insulation - chip board flooring is back breaking stuff.
We again moved the Rayburn - this is getting mental. Feeling bored so we'll move a Rayburn..............
It's now going on the back wall & will save £600 or so because it won't need such a long internal flue. It all makes better sense. But first we have to brick behind where it's to go - bricks come on Monday. I'll be barrowing them down from the road side, but not in my nice new plastic barra. I've done not much else today & feel jiggered.0 -
