do you know roughly how much the 'victorian' style guttering is compared to the normal one??
I so appreciate you helping me your opinions, ideas and advice... The thing is I know what I want the place to look like, BUT I know this sounds silly but now its time to start making 'proper' decisions on the place, I am getting nervous and dougting my decisions lol
Sounds JUST LIKE ME.0 -
If you have high rainfall go for deeper guttering - bigger stuff! I think we have Ogee - similar stuff on Screwfix.0

Also if it is only a single brick wall/building then you are always going to have problems..
Did you ask the neighbour for permission so you/builder can go on their land so they can take a better look at that wall etc??
Roofers registered on sites like Checkatrade or whatever it is, with positive reviews. DH didn't have them back because they were out of ideas as to why it was happening. They had already been back once after their first attempt had made no difference.
Perhaps this is where the confusion is coming in? We've had *roofers* specifically not builders. So no, no-one has been next door to have a look because in roof terms, there's nothing to be seen, it all faces the other way.
DS2 is going to speak to the neighbours though, because we will need access to look at the wall, to see what needs doing to it."...And if it don't feel good, what are you doing it for?" - Robbie Williams - 'Candy'0 -
I was thinking too, after you told Alfie that on the shreet plan etc most of those houses ha those types of extensions back in 1909.. But looking at the the houses next to yours they haven't got them... maybe they were demolished for the reasons why you are getting so much trouble.... single brick, Damp, Wet getting in etc...
Are you still thinking of moving in the near future???Work to live= not live to work0 -
LOADS of thunder and lightening last night... I was a right scaredy pants...lol....
Choille the work being done at the mo, is mainly all outside, with the exception of the new concrete lintels going in over the doors and windows...
We now might have to go for flagstone looking floor tiles, rather than put the original ones back down that we salvaged from the outside path...so if anyone see's any nice looking ones on their diy internet travels... please give me the heads up...
right off I toddle to work..Work to live= not live to work0 -

I'm having to look for uber thin ones now, now that I've decided I do want underfloor heating after all.....after concrete was laid.( floor is insulated so while not ideal I can still do this if I find suitable flooring.
I'll try and find link to bet of those we've found. If you see others...share!0
