    hello peeps

im in a moody mood so i will wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR now :D

i hope that patience, good health and loved ones all help us make 2014 a good one .

never worry about things that are an act of nature and beyond our control. always think what we have not what we havent. to not be blinkered by what we think is impossible ,that just hides what IS possible.

KARMA with the people around you .

    love you all

  • the pic above I nicked off google, but I have old quilts like them, and welsh blankets etc..

This afternoon the stonemason came over and told us.. our electric cable going into the house was 'hissing' it looks as though the armoured cable caming from the post to the house has perished/split.. so I have phone the electricity board, and in fairness, less than 2 hours later they are there now.... so hubby is on his way back up there..

The stonemason fitted on of the new heads above one of the wondows today, and the lintel on the inside of that window is full of woodworm,, and its fresh.... so good job we are re-newing EVERY lintel with concrete ones, and we are spraying EVERY bit of wood as we come across it with that cuprinol 5...

so will give you an update on what happened when hubby gets back...

    I've been Money Tipped!
CTC do you have wild/ dog roses in your hedgerows?

You aren't allowed to move them, they are protected, I have lots, and I think they strike really easily, so. Could get some started for you next year if you like? They are excellent summer screening,...put on some quite excellent growth, and prickles are of course, security.

I know we have some sort of 'open rose' in amongst some of the hazelnuts/growth etc, but on the other side of the lane..

Hopefully this/next year I will take a lot more notice of what is actually growing around the place

Lovely words Alfie! Sorry you are not cheery today

CTC I envisage an archway in your hedge with a weather worn table of wood or stone underneath with various bits and pieces for sale on it. Oh and bunting because most things are quietly improved with bunting ;)

I have scrubbed the living room and hallway today so that if we have hog many visitors the house looks vaguely presentable. We often have people over to bring in the New Year but this year our plans are a bit up in the air.

Today my peas and beans arrived :D I used the seller that Dave has recommended in the past through Ebay and I was delighted with their choice and speedy delivery, especially due to the time of year.

A lot of our regular posters have been quiet, I do hope that they are just caught up in the excitement of the season and that they are ok. If you are reading drop us a line to let us know you are ok, all of you are missed.

Equally any lurkers please come and say hello, the new year is almost here and what better start to make than to share your day dreams with other dreamers ;)
