I think he hasn't been for years there.
I think it'll all be in the hands of a factor & it'll be them trying to show it wiping its face I suppose.
I googled & got an article in The Telegraph - not very complimentary especially the comments.0 -

Alfie, My youngest would fight you for the sig, LIR he would be mega jealous of your other half playing with him.... Youngest wanted to go and see him in concert a year or so ago, but at over £120+ for the tickets, there was no way we could afford or realistically justify that amount of money per ticket.
Choille, I thought he owned it, so did he only own part of it, or did he own somewhere else??
Alfie how did you manage to obtain that then??

One of dh's less glam jobs was working in one of the music shops in Denmark street. They got lots of the famous peoe popping in buying stuff.
DH is lucky to have have with some really big popular names, but none of it main stream stuff. We met through the music industry when we were both recording non mainstream stuff for a mainstream producer who we both knew. He introduced us. We recorded at different times for the same thing, so we'd worked together before we met :rotfl:0 -
sounds cool LIRWork to live= not live to work0

Tried to sell some signed photos recently, but the Beverley sisters and the Mudlarks didnt seem too popular. Rock Hudson sold though.
Did an Alf the other day. Neighbour had left a table out for the council to collect, its now here and being used after a bit of TLC
DW off up to M/C yet again tomorrow, it's playing havoc with home life and exhausting for her. So when she comes back it will be with another car full of stuff to sort
On the other side of the valley is a big rookery, while the copse next to us is deserted. But over the last few days we've noticed lots of rooks congregating in our copse, noisy too! Not sure why but looks like the colony may be on the move.
Bay shot itself in the foot again. Offered free listings to invited business sellers. Then when the invited sellers tried to sign up for the offer they were told they weren't eligible! Cue hordes of aggrieved sellers bombarding Bay's cutomers service and a rapid backtrack by the Bay.0 -
Good Morning
You were all very chatty last night, if I had known I would have come on and joined in! As it was I was attending the first birthday party of the weekend which was delightfully quiet and lovely. Another one today (for the same person) so busy busy!
Thank you for all the garden suggestions you have, as always, given me a lot to think about, what would I do without you all?
Today I am thinking about decorative bits and pieces. I want the nursery to be quite nature related so I am going to put a bird feeder in the window and have native animal prints on the wall etc It is important to me that our children have a love and respect of nature.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Rummer, our upper front garden, at the front and side of our drive, had an unappealing L shape terraced patch of leylandii and grass that dogs used to use as a latrine as it fronted our narrow access road .
This L shaped boundary now has a 3' picket fence to strictly define "ours" and "public" areas. The terrace area just behind the fence has two parallel narrow beds that support espalier apples and pears and require little maintenance. Access to these beds is by two parallel paviour paths at stepped levels joined at one end by steps and then sweeping round to a gravel high side path that lets me pick the greengages grown in a lower side bed.
So there is a top line of fence
Next parallel line is upper paviour path
Next parallel line is apple espalier bed
Next parallel line is upper retaining wall
Next parallel line is lower paviour path
Next parallel line is pear espalier bed
Next parallel line is lower retaining wall
It wasnt cheap (cost me about £2000 IIRC) but for the first time the house drive and front were clearly defined and the espaliered terraces created instant kerb appeal and continue to do so
Next to the house, at the back of the drive and garage, are two terraced front gardens. One we converted in a similar way, filled with roses, chives and bugle. Parallel paths connected by steps give easy access to the beds and privacy is provided by a narrow beech hedge at the top level
The second we will change this winter. Effectively we will pave the lower of two terraces with just 2 or 3 small circular beds for specimen plants. As the front retaining wall is 4' high, and there is no easy access to this bed, ease of maintenance is essential as I need a ladder to tend the beds. The upper terrace bed will stay our wildlife garden with pond.
After completing the upper front garden, and getting a wow factor, I just couldnt explain why I hadnt done something similar before. Probably because I hadnt spent a couple of weeks sketching out designs before! So although you are after low maintenance, I'd encourage you to play with designs as the effects can be stunning.
Sounds like creative thinking:T.
Any chance of any photos to try and picture what you've done and maybe take a leaf out of your book please?:)0 -
Mull of Kintyre's owners put it up for sale about 3 years ago after decades in the same family - the Browns, I believe. It was part of a huge sporting estate. I don't know if it sold or not.
McCartney owned the neighbouring High Park.
He also has land on Exmoor.0 -
