Well what a small world...I grew up in Hadleigh too! After moving round a bit (including working in Denmark) I have ended up near Bury St Edmunds. Currently renting and hope to buy somewhere in the area this summer as we like Bury and the surrounding villages. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

It's a bit tamer and more quiet on screen than in real life, (the salmon of albertine isn't singing, nor the various shades of red from fuscia hued through purplish, through to blackened, but all the colours of my north garden in. One little posey.0 -

Evening
Been mia a bit as been terribly busy with really dull things
However I am going to be around a bit more over the next wee while . I had great plans to get stuck into the garden today but it has been pouring with rain all day so I have just been mentally planning what needs done (which is a lot). The frint lawn continues to look like a summer meadow and I am going to be more than a little sad when it is cut, however it really does need to be smartened up.
The hedge is also becoming a bit unruly although mercifully it is fine on the street side so not as urgent as the grass.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Wow beautiful Even though I like roses, I allways seen to dismiss them, BUT you lovely posy has brought them back into my thoughts, and they would fit in brilliantly around the ranch...Work to live= not live to work0 -

I went to a talk by a guy who breeds Ixworths both for meat & eggs & he was doing really well with local hotel trade - he had quite a set up. I'd never heard of the breed until then - March this year. They must be hardy to survive & thrive up here.0
