LIR - The copper looks more beige that owt & rather tired looking.

The blue looks great, well compared to the other colours.

So midgied & wet here. Out doors a no go.

Rummer the brush is a broom & you must be doing something right that the buddlieh flowered. I'm really pleased that they are of use as there is always excess self seeders & I love taking cuttings.

Oh, no, beige wouldn't do at all:rotfl: how funny, people buying copper are obviously going to be bright lovers, so to give them anti bright is a bit of a funny thing to do, comedic even. Or is it saving the country from those of us with brash taste?

    Hmm,

What does the gold come out as then? :D

Had Daisy PTS at 2pm. It was text book and we were spot-on with the timing. Her back legs were just starting to go.... Not nice, but no real distress or suffering and the best of a bad job. :(

I used the dark green Hammered finish to camouflage an orange cement mixer which then stood outside for 22 years. It still works.:D We used the blue hammered on a market stall and the black on a trailer. All did well.

The yellow smooth was close enough to the colour of our old van to use as a touch up paint.

Toned-down blue might be OK. The green isn't very 'natural', though OK on a mixer.

Well done with daisy dave. May your slippers be ever fragrant from this day forward.

She was lucky to have such patient care, many would be short with someone failing like that at the end. :(.

Extremely sorry to hear your news Dave, but she's gone to a better place, bless her heart :( Sending <<<<<hugs>>>>> to you and Mrs Davesnave :A

LIR, yep I'd say the copper is definitely more of a dull beige tone - very disappointing I thought, but the best of a bad lot, choice-wise for our situation......didn't think about mixing colours though :o

Ok, so my real, sort of green sort of blue sort of grey paint.....I have some metal doors that need painting.

I don't want sensible and sinister black next to my beautiful shadowy dramatic walls. But....copper (my natural preference) might be too much for even for me road side. What do you think peeps.. I know this is style more than small holding...but..

Dave so sorry that it was her time, sounds as if you did everything to make her happy and comfortable and as you say better to take her before she suffers, I am sure she will be greatly missed.

Choille I had the whole brush/broom debate with myself last night and clearly made the wrong choice :rotfl: however they are all doing well.

LIR We have used the dark green here to go with a wood sage colour paint and it goes well. I also liked the blue. However you seem to be going for a different set of colours.

I am very tired today :(

Better run that by Mrs Dave to be totally sure ;)

Sorry to hear about Daisy, Dave. Always hard to judge these things & nobody likes making the decision but much better not to prolong things beyond the point when quality of life inevitably loses out to quantity.

So, CTC, what's occuring with the ty bach?

Sorry about your loss Dave, you made the right choice at the right time & that is being a responsible owner.

We still have ole deaf boy, but at the mo even though he is slowly fading, he is happy. When they stop being happy that's the time...

Breathing in the midgies - it's unbearable out there - True West Highland midgie swarm.

Mrs Nasty who bought the local shop & post office has alienated so many people. Her horrid attitude was a strange way to run a business. Most people go the 9 miles to the next shop & PO. It's on the market for a ridiculous asking price but plans to shut at the end of September. I think the owners will move back to London then whether they sell or not - in the meantime the elderly & folks who don't drive are in a bit of a fix. They've caused so much bother & upset. In small places things like the only shop for miles & PO is a life line for many.

They've done such a dis-service to the area....not their day dream come true...
