  • Why would you need to confirm what you know? Isn't that an apt definition for pointless?

If she didn't know, you might have a point. But she had the exact details to hand.

Because what someone knows may not be correct.

If the OP knew then there would be no need to post in which case you need not have replied to a non-existent post.

To be fair, I may have the details to hand, but wasn't confident that I understood enough about what they meant to make a judgement - hence my asking for advice, all of which I very much appreciate :)
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Unfortunately, I can only buy from a limited number of places (something to do with accounting/finance regs) and Ebay isn't one I can use.

Amazon (not 3rd party sellers) is ok, (I know it'll be more expensive, but still alot cheaper than the quote I've got)

Would something like this be ok?

    Try here..

My advice was not to waste your time with the Crucial Tool. ;)

    You've gone beyond that.... :D

The cogent point here is that the OP had the exact information in her hand. The Crucial Tool provides recommendations and is sometimes wrong.

The OP was not confident that they were right otherwise they would not have asked the question.

My answer gave one solution to the query yours gave another.

A win win for the OP

All advice very much appreciated :)

Does the Amazon one look like it would fit/work ok ?

Certainly not a win/win because it didn't work anyway. Hardly a solution. :D

    Luckily I was here. ;)
