  • Oh no I lost my post!! :(

Thanks lurvlyloz! Cant believe your back in work allready. Im thinking of a different career has my work let me have part time. I'm on SmP until June so don't really want to start looking yet, but if something came up I would definitely look into it.

We've had quite an expensive week yet only spent about £30 on food, theres been other things like gymnastics fees and other and unavoidable things. hopefully next week is going to be a bit cheaper as i really can't afford to keep spending the amount ive been spending the past few weeks
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Just made homemade coleslaw, looking forward to that later! Yum! May also make some mini pizza for the party were going to :) its only in my parents, like a get together so no need for a pressie and as im still feeding baby i wont be drinking.
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Enjoyed that party last night.was home by 11pm so npt a late one.

Been to l1d1 today for a few bits so were all stocked up for the week.

Dh went out last night with £30 and came home with £20, so were having our own mini challenge and seeing if we can go all week only spending £20!
Or at least seeing how far we can get on £20.

Have totaled this weeks spends and its awful yet again, so we definately need a cheap week!
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Dd is very unwell and needed medicine as well as the antibiotics from the doc, so thats £3.50 out of the £20 gone allready!

£16.50 remaining! Shes not in school so thats £2 lunch money saved!
Still here..... but working on that!
  • Stuck at home again with dd who's still unwell.

Lots of chicken left over from last night :) making curry tonigt and trying to decide what else i can make for tomorrow?
Will have to have a look through the recipie threads.

No plans today and dont need anything so a nsd should be had!

Spends this week so far £3.50/£20! (For everything!)

  • So i have 17 days before i go back to work, and have to admit ive buried my head in the sand with regards to finances and weve lived off savings, which have as good as gone now.
Maternity leave has been lovely but put us in an awful financial position and will take us a while to get back to normal. Time off with my little man is something ill never get again so i cant feel to awful but i have to start paying off the debt. This month is by far the worst weve had in a long while and i didnt want to be back in this position.

Found out yesterday that ive had a pay rise when i go back to work, and will be about £100 a month better off. However im going back part time so this is half of what i was used to before commision.

Im hoping that with my new wage amd dh's badly paid job that we'll be entitled to some tax credits which will top up our wages slightly.
Still here..... but working on that!

  • Thanks for the message, turn out im not subscribed to my own thread so i didnt know . How are you and baby doing?

I've been very lucky to be off this long.

Just been onto T3sc0 website and transferred my vouchers into days out and theme park tickets, that's summer sorted. If we take a picnic, we only spend on petrol and get to go some places that would cost a small fortune otherwise. One perk of going back to work is that I'll be using more petrol, which i get back in expenses, so my points should add up more again and let us have more things. We had a holiday before in Spain.

Been very good at not spending this week, but needed Calpol today for little man as he's not well.

Have to take dd to gymnastics later which is behind a big shopping so i need to be strong!! I might take my k1ndle and stay in the gym building, or not take my purse even!!

Good news is I've 24 items listed on 3-bay and a few have bids. Both items that finish today have bids on :) They've both previously been listed a few times with no luck. Nothing I've listed is worth very much, but everything I earn will go to pay off debt.
Still here..... but working on that!
