Argh dh wants to decorate new babys room, needs paint roller and brushes. Its not hundreds of pounds of stuff, but wenended up going over the sept budget yesterday by £40 with food and petrol, and were both getting smp for two weeks!
Managed to convince him but now i feel bad and little mans room isnt done :-/Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Well yesterday turned into a sfd
And ive just made a small payment of £5.41 to the cc by rounding down the bank account. Wondering whether to make a large payment towards it, but having no money in my current account scares me :-/
Think i'll do my budget from now until pay day and see whats due to come out. Havent looked at my budget since having baby, i pulled all our spending money out of the bank at pay day (25th) and i know thats just finished. Part of it was used on expensive things like food for dh from. The hospital shop etc.
Plan on taking all the spending money out again in october and putting it in a pot, in bags for the week.
Anyway... Still trying to work out how i can be cc free by 2014!
So far the payments i make towards cc are:
£100 at the start of the month
£81 child benefit
£30 ish minimum payment
And rounding down bank account (we'll say this works put to around £90 which takes monthly payments made to around £300)
So sept oct nov & dec = £900 towards cc debt of £1529.
So i need an extra £157.25 a month paid towards cc to be cc free by 2014!
Do i pay it off from my current acc and hope i can live without it,knowing i have it as an emergency IF i need it? Or at least try this for this month and see how i go.....
Cant imagine how amazing it would be to be cc and od free so soon!!Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Keep walking around the house and seeing things i want to ebay, and cant because i cant drive for another 4 weeks and dont want to send dh to the post office!
Made my first £157.25 towards cc today, thats a huge step closer to debt freedom!! Then my bank balance needed rounding down so i ended up paying an extra £9.78! So thats a huge payment of £167.03 made by
Little me today!! Need to update on the 100 day challenge thread and my signature. Shouldnt have left us short as dh gets paid tues and my pay is due wed.
Today should be a sfd unless we need a milk and bread top up.Still here..... but working on that!0 -
So not a bad weekend 3 sfd's, but will definately need milk today.
Budget this morning i think, but then i havent had wed's pay slip yet so can only go as far as that.
Can fill in the whats to come out and then add pay amount to it on wed and see how much ive got left (or not!)

Weve convinced dd that we should go in a few weeks time now, obviously i still wont b going on anytjing but at least ill b able to walk without pain.but now she wants a party on her actual birthday which will cost more.....
It was my birthday this week and i managed to bag myself £130, which i plan on buying a handbag and a box set with, and keeping the rest for treats for me (i never buy me anything!) then if i see something i fancy i can get it and not feel guilty. I know the most dedicated of dfw's would put it towards a debt but i always go without and even dh just got himself a load of stuff in the next sale and dd is spoilt rotten!
It was pay day yesterday and for some reason i though id b having a lot less than i did (£1000) less. I largely comission based so iost track with maternity starting.
I need to do my budget this morning but will be using the extra for:
£300 to pay for xmas - ill transfer to an empty savings account.this must cover everything, except food which im using my sealed pot for which hasnt got much in at alllast year i spent £170 on xmas food, which is ridiculous, so this year limiting it to the small change i put into my pot, even if its £20,plus ill have my usual £50 weekly food budget that i can buy some bits with.i dont need £170 worth of food, its a silly amount!
My monthly £157 extra payment towards being cc free by xmas
£?? Dd's birthday party - will book later
All bills, and then work out whats leftover and throw it at my cc and potentially pay it off before dec!
Oh i'm excited!! I may start my xmas shopping, saw some bargains and different bits in the studio catalogue, might order now before they go out of stock, dd is going to be the most expensive one, but i have grabbed a few bits for her as ive seen them on sale. She loves her clothes and i got a few bargains in asd4 sale, and a couple of cheapy books from the book pe0ple.Still here..... but working on that!0 -

Well my thread was well & truly abandoned!
Ds is now 4 months and doing very well, he's a lovely happy baby
Feel like debt wise im not getting very far whilst on smp, just trying to plod along and get by every month. Im slightly over excited that i dont have to pay council tax next month or the month after! Would love to use it toward debt but itll probably go on filling up the fridge freezer which will be looking a bit bare by then and stock up on other bits to keep us going until im back in work.
Have been following the frugal thread, which is great motivation, and i also doing the 52 week challenge to save a few pennies for xmas!
Didnt manage xmas without my cc, but did do my food shop for 30 odd pounds!
E3ayed three items this week but only one sold and wasnt really worth the trip to the po! Will have to have a rethink or start selling in bulk to make it worthwhile i think.
Very busy day ahead with dd and dsactually wishing today away allready!!
Still here..... but working on that!0
