Baby D still comfortable. Mummy not so much!!

Had a cheque today refunding after a years insurance renewal was taken without us agreeing. That's £113. Did go slightly mad in the next online sale Wednesday evening with jumpers and jeans. Spent last winter in maternity clothes and the winter before i was in the process of losing weight so wanted some 'nice' clothes :) will pay off the bill immediately so won't be any interest. It will just mean less going into the savings after payday!!

What a day. Hardly slept at all last night (and here it is, 4am and I'm up again!!), so was ever so slightly hormonal/tired yesterday. Spent most of the day in tears for no brilliant reason. Luckily I was home alone for most of it. Had a major panic that we wouldn't be able to get the baby's car seat in the back of our 3 door without having to tilt I, which we obviously can't do with baby in. Unfortunately I was right. 4 days before due date I figure that out! Spent the day then on the net looking at cheap 5 door cars, without much luck. When dh got home I asked him whether he thought we could get the car seat in going between the front 2 seats? He wasn't convinced, but gave it a go and it works!! No need to go spending our savings pot just yet thankfully!! THat was such a huge relief!

Dh knew I wasn't having a good day yesterday so last night he gave me a foot massage, face mask, and a back rub, and then sat down to watch csi with me. I love that show, he isn't as fussed! Then at 10:45 I ran out of mints (really help with heartburn, which was awful last night) so had to go out to get some and he wouldn't let me go alone, bless!! Got the mint imperials I usually get, and noticed the polo's next to them. They were 69p!!!!! I'm sure they used to be 20p. They managed to stay where they were!

Money saving - I've been reading/lurking the payment a day thread. Thinking of joining eventually, but too much going on with baby arrival imminent(I hope!!), but thought I'd give it a go myself anyway. Just decided to keep an eye on my bills account, and to round it down every day by making a small payment to the savings. It's not much a day, but it will add up over the month. I will only do that if I don't have money coming in from elsewhere.

Dh and I had a chat as well about our grocery shopping. We try to do one big shop at the start of the month now, and top up every week after. Our top up is silly though, we get much more than we need. So, we are going to try and just shop weekly instead. Give ourselves a £25 budget each week (which we managed a couple of years ago when I earnt quite a bit less). Hopefully that will work better. We have also got to stop eating out, etc. at the minute I'm like 'it could be our last time for a long time' so we have been enjoying a bit too much, and the money has been coming from our savings  must stop spending!

Anyway, what a ridiculously long post, and if anyone is still reading and hasn't fallen asleep......well done!! :T :rotfl:

This little monkey doesn't seem to want to make an appearance anytime soon. Due date tomorrow, but not likely to be meeting him/her! :)

Well, the royal baby made an appearance yesterday. Baby D??? Not a chance. He or she is definitely very happy in my tummy and is planning to stay!! I'm starting to get impatient now, and just want a cuddle. Saw the midwife yesterday, and she tried to get things started, but nope - no baby. Very painful pelvis last night, but a lot better this morning. Got an induction date for the end of next week but really hoping I won't need it!!

Right, money saving.........we have ordered sky  we used to have a free view box where we could pause and record tv and it broke down a few weeks ago. With a baby, I'm guessing every time we sit down, someone will wake up so wanted to get another box. They are over £100, and there was an offer on here for sky for £10.75/month for 12 months. Figured it made sense then. Got the engineer coming tomorrow afternoon to fit it. :D we checked our accounts first and can afford it with still paying the debts.

Waiting for Internet log on card, etc, for our nationwide flexdirect account. I hate not being able to check an account online, especially as ive transferred money to it and want to check it!! We have decided that we need to set aside some money for household things every month as well as we keep dipping into savings every time we need something little, such as picture frames, paint, etc etc. going to put £20 aside each month for that.

I think I'm going to complete another SOA today to see how things will be now.

Hope everyone has a good day, and a huge congrats to Kate and William. I'm so jealous that they've been able to have lots of baby cuddles already ;)

My due date was last Saturday.

We only moved house last February so think we're tied in with the internet until next February unfortunately. I've put down £15 for internet and £15 for landline, I'm guessing they're split like that - we pay around £30 a month for the 2. It'll definitely be worth looking at next year, though. Thank you :)

Looking at your signature, you've got a baby on the way too?? Yay!! Exciting times for us ahead :)
