As well as dh gift we both also had an ice cream this evening :) helped us on our walk! Went for a brisk walk (it apparently helps get labour started - it's all a lie!!). It was a nice walk, though, and spent £3.30 on 2 ice creams. The money came from our entertainment pot so it was budgeted for. There's enough in the pot for an Indian takeaway week tomorrow (next step to get labour going ;) ).

Haven't made any pennies today (unless you count the 22p cashback, but I won't be able to cash it in until I have a £1 ready to cash. Got plenty waiting to be cashed, just waiting for the companies to cough up!!

I have been told by my auntie to, under no circumstances, have a curry to try to bring on labour. Her reasoning was quite sensible...given that lots of things come out at the time of birth you do not want an upset stomach lol :rotfl::rotfl:

How long have you got left now?

I think an icecream is needed in this weather, I treated myself to one too :) Plus you're doing really well and seem really determined, what a great example you'll be for the little one x

2 weeks until due date :D

Think I'll be the only one complaining about this, but........it's too hot!! Plus, pollen count very high big-sneeze.gif

Being pregnant I can't take anything so going to hide away with my fan and lots of ice lollies!

Trying to think of a 50th birthday gift for my mum. I was initially thinking just a voucher for a meal somewhere, but now thinking of putting a hamper together of all her favourite things and including a voucher for a beauty treatment somewhere. Thought it would last longer and maybe put something in that will last? Any other ideas would be accepted gratefully mind!! I'm useless at gift deciding!!

I hope everyone has a good day x

    The hamper does sound lovely!
I don't envy you being pregnant in this heat! My DS is 13 tomorrow and the year 2000 was hot from around March my other 2 were winter baby's.

I used raspberry leaf tea(can get tablet form!) for DD1 and worked a treat, also helps labour progress quicker but I don't know if that's true all mine were quick and I only took it on 1.

I like your thinking. It's actually mine and Mr D's first wedding anniversary at the end of the month and as it's paper for the first I said the baby's birth certificate would be gift enough. :rotfl:

Little-miss I've thought about raspberry leaf, but just not got round to it. Probably still got plenty of time. :undecided:

Got most things for the hamper today. Set myself a budget of £50, but we managed around £43 for everything we wanted plus a bit extra. With the left over, we picked up our dinner at Mr T's. fresh pasta, sauce and dough balls. Yum!!

We also had a cake and a drink in a well known caf!. All out of our budget so it's all good!! Had to put petrol in the car  I hate that job. So much money being spent. Grrrrrrrrrr! I'm hoping that because I'm now on maternity we will manage on this one full tank until the end of the month. That would mean less than 50% of our petrol budget being spent. Fingers crossed!!

Saw someone posted about an offer on here somewhere yesterday. 6 heat magazine issues for £6 with a free Baylis and Harding gift worth £20 and then £6.30 cashback going through tcb. Ordered them yesterday and the cashback tracked within the hour. Will cancel the direct debit before the 6 weeks are up so I'm basically being paid 30p to read 6 issues of heat and getting a free gift with it, which looks like a nice Christmas present for someone. Sorted!!

With regards to the weather..........it's too hot!!! Grrrrrrrrrr!!

Checked tcb this morning to see £12.60 ready to be cashed. Just waiting for it to arrive in my bank account now.

Going to pick up a voucher to put in my mum's hamper today. The hamper is all finished then, and under budget. :D

Midwife appointment today, let's see if baby D looks like s/he is looking like wanting o make an appearance soon. I almost thought things were starting up this morning, but it's all stopped again. Surely that means it won't be too long :undecided

Well baby D is in position and ready........it's just a waiting game now. I'm starting to get impatient. The sooner baby D gets here, the more time I get with him/her before I go back to work. I know, I know........Baby will come when s/he is ready!

Got the voucher for my mum so that's all sorted. Also sorted out our wedding pictures. Hadnt ordered a single one and we've been married almost a year. Some arrived yesterday, I've put them in frames we've had for months, just got to wait for dh to get handy with a drill now :o

Need to check my online banking today. Haven't done that for a few days.

Filled the car with petrol at the weekend. Determined to make one tank last until next month. Don't think we've ever achieved it before, but I'm not going far at the moment so we may just manage it. That will leave an extra £50 in our account!!
