What do your guests sleep on?

Lots of options at our house! Spare room 1 has a superking bed (plus space for travel cot). Spare room 2 has a double bed and a spare single mattress underneath in case it's needed. DD has a 2'6" trundle bed with a spring mattress under her bed. Spare room 3 has one of these futons with a proper mattress which folds out into a very comfy double bed.

The gym equipment in another room all folds so there's room for another spare double mattress in there if needed. We have a double airbed somewhere.
If worst comes to worst people can sleep in a tent on the lawn, lol.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
Airbeds can be comfy, but they're definitely not for sharing! I've been bounced around once too often while camping lol.
Btw, what is a high sleeper??? A bunk bed?Life is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A

Both my daughter and I have this sofa from Ikea - LYCKSELE LÖVÅS
Even I think its comfy ( and thats saying something). Many people who use it are amazed its not a "proper bed"0 -
I used to have a brilliant futon from ikea that was as comfy as any bed, but I lost it to my ex annoyingly.
At the moment my guests are on the settees or on air beds, most are regular visitors who have different preferences, one hates air beds, two love them, one brings a camping mat that I think looks pointless.
When I get round to replacing my settees in a few years I will invest in a really good quality sofa bed, but I think you may as well just use airbeds if you can't spend much. If people are going to be uncomfortable either way they may as well be uncomfortable at the lowest price!
I would never buy a sofa bed without lying on it myself to test it though.0 -
jaybe are actually a pretty good brand of fold out bed. I bought one last year when we had some extra guests and it was expensive - £250 - though offset with tesco vouchers
I did go for one of the top ones though. It has a memory foam mattress and anyone who ever slept on it (including DH when I was sick) say it's very good. Only thing to be aware of is that it takes up more space than you would think when folded so do take a good look at the spec if you are thinking of it. 0 -
We have a Futon, but my parents hate it so much they opt for the Travelodge! (£19 a night booked in advance and 6 miles away).
We do offer them our bed and we would sleep on the futon (which is in our 2.5 year olds room!).
A house big enough to have a spare room is SO expensive that it's much better valur to use the Travelodge!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I used to sleep on a airbed, when I stayed at my daughters home, and i'm in my 60's. I found it very comfy, they have now bought a sofa bed for me to sleep on, which again is very comfy. I never had a problem with the airbed.Treat other's how you like to be treated.

New baby grandson, Louie born 28/06/2012,
Proud nanny to two beautiful boys :j
And now I have the joy of having my foster granddaughter becoming my real granddaughter. Can't ask for anything better
UPDATE,
As of today 180919. my granddaughter is now my official granddaughter, adoption finally granted0 -
I'll say it again...if you need to buy a double airbed, get the double chambered one that I linked to in Post7. It's like having two single airbeds joined together so you don't get that interesting effect when your partner rolls over and the airbed promptly throws you off into the middle of the room. The Coleman costs a bit more than a crappy supermarket one but it lasts, our camping one is six years old, has been used a lot and is still going strong.Val.0

Guests - especially older guests - will always get a bed to sleep on :T.
(One or more of the kids will be decanted onto an inflatable mattress in the [STRIKE]moger[/STRIKE] spare room, leaving their bed(s) free for the guests).
