Pollycat - Your communication is confusing me, I don't understand it, sorry. As previously said the origional issue/enquiry has been actioned. Yes in a speedy & satisfactory manner, it really does happen some times,
but not all the time,
such is life,
I think you are being deliberately obtuse, but Hey! at least you've learned to use the 'quote' button which makes your posts more understandable. :rotfl:I think it is futile posting or replying to any more comments on this past issue/enquiry. Thank you for your posts, have a good rest of week.:j
Anyone can post on a thread.
And it's only courteous to come back and let people know the outcome of an issue.
But as I'm not totally convinced that you have managed to get a solicitor to talk to the 'company' on your behalf in the timescale you say you have, I'll not hold my breath for that update. :cool:0 -
Hi small coin approx 1.46 grams
coins come in all weights and sizes.....
1.46 grams doesn't really tell us the size does it? Your idea of small could be wildly different than mine. Hows about you stop dancing around the issue and tell us the denomination of the coin so we can actually see how big it is?
Seems really really strange to me that you can't say "Yes, this was an Egyptian Pound or a US 5 Cent" would be so much easier and a lot less cryptic than weighing the coin. I can only see one reason for that and that is that the coin is large enough to be noticed in a crisp packet unless you'd like to prove otherwise?0 -
Well, our 1p weights 3.56g, even an American dime is 2.26g, OP's coin must be teeny tiny. I'm surprised it didn't just drop to the bottom of the bag though.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

No, not necessarily, a coin can be thin and wide as well as small and fat so weight isn't necessarily an indication of size. Google tells me an old Penny weighed 1.46 grams and thats not exactly small.
Like I say, I find it very strange that OP just doesn't come out and name the coin. If its small and fat then its probably understandable that they didn't see it, but if its thin and wide....0 -

Going back to the OP's first post:Bought crisp, while munching my tooth became very sore some of the crisps seemed very hard, to my horror I discovered it was a small coin, which was in with the crisps. The coin was a foreign currency, not used in this Country.
My Tooth ached and was loose, I got pain killers, it caused a lot of inconvenience and it is very hard to sleep or carry out normal every day functions. I contacted the company, they said verbally they would get my Tooth looked after. They asked for the packet details and to send on object (coin) found.
Within a week they sent an apologetic letter and said they would investigate,
A few days later they phoned and said this could not have happened on their production line, and said they would only part pay for the Tooth dental work.
I was shocked at this response, I was reasonable, I gave them reasonable time to investigate and come back to me.
I could have gone Public with this, and affected their brand name and PR.
What are my consumer rights on this issue?
What am I entitled to?
What should I expect?
Thank you
I find it very strange that this company agreed (albeit verbally) that they would pay for the dental work - without having seen the offending coin.
I also find it very strange that the company then - after looking at the coin - said it couldn't have happened on their production line but still said they'd fund part of the dental work.
Unless of course they said it was purely a goodwill gesture and was without prejudice.0 -

Perhaps so but the OP's wording makes it sound as if it encroaches on his whole day.Herman - MP for all!0
