I suggest you try using the 'quote' button because your posts are very confusing. :)

I once had a crisp ten pound note for a birthday present. Didn't try to eat it though.

I really despair some of the posts on this forum at times.

It is meant to be Consumer Rights not Consumer "Judge, Jury and Executioner"

Foreign objects do sometimes find their way into the food chain no matter how unlikely they sound.

Assuming the coin really was in the bag and you suffered an injury because of that, you are entitled to financial compensation. You'll have to consult a solicitor as to how you'd get that. Your biggest problem will be proving it.

OP - As above, I would try to arrange a free consultation (some solicitors offer a 30mins free initial consultation) to try and gauge if it would be worth trying to get the full dental costs covered. You could do it yourself through the Small Claims Court - but you'd probably need convincing evidence in both cases.

Having said that, simply issuing a Letter Before Action might be enough to spur them in to paying the full cost of dental work.

But, I agree with ThumbRemote, I think it would be difficult to prove. Basically, your word against theirs.

Did you take photo's of the coin, packet (batch number, etc), tooth damage, etc?

Thanks to ThumbRemote sensible reply, this is no longer an issue of dispute, the Solicitor and Company are in communication to reach a resolution. Thanks to all for posting even the laughable ones, enjoyed the banter,:) no harm done, that's the value of a forum, everyone is entitled to free speech and their opinion rightly or wrongly on a matter. Have a good rest of week

    Wow!
you posted yesterday at 1:26 am (Sunday) asking what your consumer rights are, what are your rights and what you are entitled to and now, just (probably) 6 hours into a solicitor's day of work, your representative has taken on the case and is talking to the (presumably) crisp manufacturer.

    Pretty fast service, I'd say.

Maybe you should post the solicitor's company name on the Praise, Vent & Warnings as I've never heard of a law firm being so on-the-ball.

If there's a post that you wish to quote (for example, the one by PHZ #24), click on the 'quote' button, it will then put the post in a quote box in your post.

You can delete any text you might not want and then add your response so it is clear.

You can then answer 'Yes' so posters know what you are talking about.
