Foreign object in sealed crisp bag

Bought crisp, while munching my tooth became very sore some of the crisps seemed very hard, to my horror I discovered it was a small coin, which was in with the crisps. The coin was a foreign currency, not used in this Country.
My Tooth ached and was loose, I got pain killers, it caused a lot of inconvenience and it is very hard to sleep or carry out normal every day functions. I contacted the company, they said verbally they would get my Tooth looked after. They asked for the packet details and to send on object (coin) found.
Within a week they sent an apologetic letter and said they would investigate,
A few days later they phoned and said this could not have happened on their production line, and said they would only part pay for the Tooth dental work.
I was shocked at this response, I was reasonable, I gave them reasonable time to investigate and come back to me.
I could have gone Public with this, and affected their brand name and PR.
What are my consumer rights on this issue?
What am I entitled to?
What should I expect?
Thank you

You're entitled to the tooth fairy leaving the sterling equivalent of the foreign coin under your pillow.0 -
I'm confused.
You say SOME of the crisps felt hard, but there was only one coin.
As crisps don't require much biting, surely it would have been obvious it wasn't a crisp?
And am I perhaps odd and look at what I'm putting in my mouth??
Sorry, but I find your story a little odd!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Assuming the coin really was in the bag and you suffered an injury because of that, you are entitled to financial compensation. You'll have to consult a solicitor as to how you'd get that. Your biggest problem will be proving it.0

What was the company and can we have a pic of the coin?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Can you prove the object (coin) was actually in the bag when you bought it?
More to the point, how stupid do you have to be to put a coin in your mouth thinking that it is a crisp?0
