    Hi All

I am still here, just lurking in the background, still not found my GUAG yet :o cannot seem to get back in the flying zone. I have meal planned for 4 weeks & done the list for the monthly shop. DH has finally had word this week, he starts with his new company on 29th July, we are on holiday 2 weeks before so its worked out nicely.

We are going to Lake Windermere for a week & then to Legoland Windsor (3 nights in hotel, 2 days in park). We may go sww Windsor Castle seeing as we are that far down as its around an 8 hour drive back home . Can any of you recommend not too expensive things to do around the lakes, I have looked at tree tops/go ape & it seems pretty expensive. We won't be taking bikes as we are heading to the big city after the lakes, plan on just chilling & doing a few walks etc with kids but there is only so much "boring" stuff they will do. I have also looked up a crafty centre which is ideal for a rainy day, think its called crafty monkeys?

Well the answer is - we still don't know......

We were fully expecting to find out today, but instead they had some sort of meeting where more details were given....

    O/H's reaction - 'It's carnage'......... doesn't bode well.

Will know more when he gets home tonight.

Away to Manchester tomorrow - mum's 'do' on Saturday.... not really in the mood.

Ofsted seems to be going well....

We have moved! Yesterday I cleaned our old house from top to bottom and today the new house (which was left nice and clean but a bit musty - opening the doors and windows has cured that) is piled high with boxes. We clearly still have far too much stuff!

I have even weeded part of the front garden today whilst directing unloading operations :D

Now I am exhausted... But happy to be here :)

Hope you are soon settled in your new home....

    Not knowing - and waiting...and waiting...is awful

Anyway, been to former colleagues, we've been out to lunch and had a natter. Brought washing in (not quite dry but hey) before I went. Ace decision - we've had thunder and lightning:eek: so (channelling Pollyanna as per) I can be glad that my currants, and spuds, and strawberries and rhubarb have had a thorough watering! I can be glad I brought the washing in too! DD requested 'hot pot'. This is meat, carrots and onions under sliced spuds when I do it, basically! Meat can vary (it's rarely lamb - and never neck!) So that's cooking as I type/crush candy!

Just back from cricket and need to be at the next one in 30 minutes and oh my hips are so stiff.

Fish fingers cooking, mogs fed. Flying - I had just started cleaning the bathroom when my mother rang with an internet banking problem, that took all my time.

Mrs mp :jyay, great news for DS1.

CY No stress, then.....:( I'll continue to keep everything crossed.

Mr LW's hair is now neat and tidy, and suitably short.:D We also did the rounds of the F&V market in CMK, followed by Ald!, followed by Mr T - I'm concerned as there was NO Mr T's own veggie mince, and not even a price tab on the freezer shelf, so I hope they haven't stopped doing it.:( I know I can get Qr0rn mince, but a) it's a lot dearer and b) it always comes up too dry, and if I add liquid, it just swims in the liquid and doesn't absorb it, iyswim.
