gargh!
I am exhausted!!!! Just finished putting everything away from our giant food shop!
No space in the freezer so everything got taken out of its boxes and wrapped in foil and labelled! Now it fits! whoop! :j:j
wow! too much time on my hands!!!!Also hid a lot of the snacks so me and OH don't eat them all this weekend! They have to last for the whole of the month so it looks good! Apart from the fact I need to post some letters on Monday I can't see any need to spend for quite some time in the future.
:D Even bought OH two 50g packs of tobacco so hopefully that is 2 weeks worth or more.
We've now got lots of fish and lots of vegetarian food so I think we'll see how long we can go as non-meat eaters and that should save us lots of money - only problem is we have 3 4pts milk in the fridge so we better get drinking - i wanted two of those to go in the freezer but forgot - it's not as big as my mind thinks it is!! :rotfl:
Aiming for a SFD tomorrow so might use all my refreshed baking ingredients and have a play around with making some cakes/cupcakes!!!! yay! :j:j
phew - need to feed myself now as haven't eaten all day while packing up the food! OH is asleep on the sofa so I won't be too extravagant with our dining options! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
hope everyone has had a lovely Saturday despite the blustery weather

Another NSD for us here at Retreatist hovel!!!
And as this month is going to be tough - lots of ways of trying to fill my time for free - I have decided to have a crack at NSK's challenge to make 80 quid - I have some money coming in for overtime I did at work but I think I could try a bit harder! So having read Alex K's diary a short while back I decided to register today on Textbroker - I've written my blurb for their assessment and now I just have to wait for them to get back!
My mother has been telling me for ages to get back into writing - I used to write stories when I was at school!! Not much of a social life!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl: So I thought I might dig them out from some long-lost corner of my computer files and set myself up on Smashwords and try and sell them as e-books - has anyone else done this? I might also have a go at writing a few more!!! Wow!! Everyone has a book inside of them!
It's healthier than constantly baking - although that is also on my list for today! I will make sure to take photos of my baking for the Baking and Sweet Treats Club! So happy we got tipped for that club in the MSE newsletter as well!!! I finally made it on MSE!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Oh and also - OMG!!! Our shop last night - they double packed some of the stuff so we got duplicates for some of our items which we didn't have to pay for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I checked the receipt carefully to make sure!)
Absolute score! Yay!!!!! :j:j:j:j:j :money::money::money: :j:j:j:j:j
Hope everyone is having a wonderful, lazy Sunday xDebts @ LBM (May 2013): £25,250.27 | Debt Free: May 2015 :j:j0 -
Great news on the double packing :j...that has never happened me before..i love the way with asda that if they substitute an item with something dearer they only charge you the price of the item you wanted...it always works in my favour because most of my trolley is value brandsCredit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000

Hello my lovelies!! Sorry I've been in hiding! Just keeping my head down and ploughing through those NSDs!!!!!
Had to break one today because the OH wanted alcohol and now I'm sitting here next to him fuming!!!:mad:he's been mean to me all night-no reason-just came home in a bad mood and now he's all giggly with his friend on the Xbox-gargh!!!!!:mad::mad: I do everything to please him it just makes me so angry how he can be so mean to me sometimes!!!!!!!
Rant over! Going to try not to spend anything this weekend-if OH wants alcohol he can go and beg for it somewhere - we do need fresh veg so tecsimo gave us 20 quid off a 40 pound shop so that could save us money instead of going to the market so that will be delivered tomorrow and then I think I'll bake and hide myself away from the wind and the rain!!!!!
Going to sit here and find a way to calm down now!!!!!
Hope everyone is having a lovely autumnal Friday?

I know its hard not to take it personal CR but I think we all take our bad moods out on those closest to us. My advice would be to ride the storm tonight and tomorrow when he is sober tell him how you feel.

C-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lovely, lovely to 'see' you! How are you me ol' mucker?! Well, don't let hubby stress you out - the best revenge is not giving them the satisfaction of annoying you. Bet he's in a better frame of mind tomorrow so don't fret. And, if not, you have your baking skills to come to your rescue and make you something homely and sugary!
Well done on the NSDs btw. :T
Have you seen the youtube video of the girlfriend smashing up her boyfriend's xbox.......you might appreciate it this evening!Credit Card Freedom gained 14 Feb 2014!!Total Debt Freedom gained 29 Apr 2014!!Savings goal 30/9/23: £72,000/£538,001.....yes I'm serious!Total Debt August 2013: [STRIKE]$21,587[/STRIKE] April 2014: $0!!!!:j0 -
Hey WABL and Hoks! :hello:
Unfortunately he wasn't drunk last ngiht - so even less reason for him to be mean to me - just a hard day at work! But you're right - he came around later last night and had calmed down! So Hoks - I didn't need to watch the youtube of the woman smashing the xbox - I'll keep that one in reserve!!
I'm currently watching the Lord Mayor's show on TV!No way I'll walk down there in this weather! also OH hates things like that! Another reason to have children - to have a reason to be able to enjoy parades etc!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
In terms of debt busting - I've done all I can for this month so far - OH gets paid on the 15th and we've got to hold back for a few days due to the MOT being due - we have 500 put aside for it and lord forbid if it goes more than that - but I know to be safe so will pay off the rest of the monies after the MOT has cleared!
I've bought myself the debt manager ipad app (only 69p) and actually worked out my 'real' totals. Eeeeek!!!
What with all the interest etc we're not as close to 12k as I would have liked for our target to be on track - definitely not going to reach 10k by the end of the year unless we have a miracle!!! But - if we are super vigilant and things come together - i.e. we can sort something out with MMF by Xmas, we might just get into the 12k range! That would be amazing!:D So keep your fingers crossed for me ladies and gents!
I suppose its just getting to that point where you start saying 'should I pay off that much this month - look at that lovely dress - all my clothes have holes in - can I justify it?'
but now I can look at this app and say - that 100 quid dress - that would add an extra x amount of interest to my debts and so on - just hope OH stays on board with it! He's already discussing an Xbox One - I've told him - If he saves up for it he can get one but we can't put it into our main budget. Will he crack before I do? Thats the question!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
He's currently making us egg and bacon sandwiches - yay! then got to get on with these NSDs!!
Hope everyone is staying dry and warm today?
hugs xxDebts @ LBM (May 2013): £25,250.27 | Debt Free: May 2015 :j:j0 -
