WAHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j :j Look at those numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must be incredibly proud of what you have achieved C-R - that amount of debt gone in just 6 months is absolutely astonishing! Imagine what you can do when you start saving!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Man that interest saved number is pretty sobering... I don't think that is something most people think about when they are paying back debts but my Lord they have you by the short and curlys with the interest.

Totally over the moon for you and cannot wait to see what you can do with another 6 months under your belt. Hope you and I skip over the rainbow to 'super saver' together sometime soooooooooon!

  • Thank you people!!! Big awkward-looking hugs!!! :grouphug:

So happy and yep-none of my debts are interest-free so as is said 'every little helps'-it really does!

Got 550 left on my card and when that's paid off ill have only 1 credit card left! Whoop!! :j

So just getting through the next 10 days before payday and we're ready to do it all again. T8sc0 have sent me another 20 quid off a 40 quid shop so we'll use that this weekend instead of the market and that should save a few quid! Whoop!!

Hopefully that will be the only spend for the rest of this week-apart from OH's teeth-another tooth out? I hope not!!!:eek:

Hope everyone else is good?! I've caved in-the heating is on but then we do need to dry the clothes washing!!!!!

    Hey pippilongstocking!!!!
Thank you for delurking!! Lovely to hear from people who read along with the adventures at retreatist hovel!! :j:j. I'm sure you'll bash that 7k!! Have you been holding onto the debt for a long time or was it accrued through a big purchase? Mine was all through stupidity and not earning enough to cover basic needs!! :( the good old days!!

But they won't leave us alone-we got a letter from wonga saying 'no you really do have 2 defaults' but they must be idiots!!! Because they don't give you a new 1000 loan if you have one outstanding so how could we owe two 1500 loans?!!! So spent all this evening going through old emails of loan agreements and going to Get OH to request his bank statements from back then and then I am going to bombard wonga with paperwork and sort this sheeeeeet out!!! Gargh!!!!!!!:mad::mad: so frustrated!!!! So going to send out a few more F&F letters at the same time I think because if wonga are going to play hardball I need to get rid of others!!!

Other than that-happy days!!! Hahahahaha-this debt busting is going to land me in a psychiatric ward if I'm not careful

And it got me so worked up I smoked a cigarette

Oh Honey, it will work itself out - it will. Wonga aren't known for being the best money lender so it could be expected for them to be @r$ey BUT, quite honestly, I'm not sure they know who they are dealing with.....if anyone can slam them into touch it will be you so GO GET EM! But don't let it stress you out. That pathetic leech of a company is not worth it. Accept the situation and find the smartest path to get through it. You can do that and you can do it well.

Knowledge is power and you have taught yourself a great deal in a short time. You are strong, you are determined, and you are one hell of a force. They do not hold all the cards.

Lots of love and positive vibes to you. xx

And btw, I think you're awesome - and so do quite a few others here......if you want us to rustle up some pitchforks and flaming torches, I am sure we can get quite the mob together to head down to Wonga HQ........let's see how their 'Mr Sandman' jingle matches up to some Nickelback's 'Burn it to the Ground'!!!!! LOL!!!

Also been looking and our two F&Fs have not been recorded as settled on the credit reports yet-time for a letter to both to remind them? Just one thing after another!!!

No one ever said it was going to be easy!!!!!!
Psyching myself up for focussing on what I can do-the credit cards!!!!

Big hugs to everyone who listens and puts up with and helps me through my moaning on
