    Debt-free and Proud!
Oh God, ain't that the truth!! Thanks for saying that so that I didn't have to! It most certainly is a drag. I have plans for the future but all are on hold until I can dig us out of this hell hole and it does suck at your momentum and positivity. We have to keep fighting C-R!!! We have to be victorious! (Have I mentioned I'm a little competitive....!) We're going to beat the debt and we are going to be freeeeeeeeee.........but heck I'd take being slightly less bored on the journey if at all possible! :D

Morning all, well its Monday again a new week to move forward, pay till next /august sounds divine, but alas its not to be.
I'm waiting at the minute for my house buyer to exchange contracts on house so we can move into rental and begin to rebuild our lives....long boring story but think buyers are stalling which only fuels my negativity ....must keep thinking positive thoughts must lol. Hope for a brilliant debt busting, home cooking inspirational week for all , hugs Eco

  • Morning ecodude and HOK3Y!!!

Yes - don't think six-twelves months advance pay really happens - mores the pity!!!!

Ecodude - good going on selling your house to tackle those debts! that's a great move to have the drive to do that!!! So big cheers!! Hope those buyers come through - do you want me to go round theirs and give them a kick up the bottom to speed them up? :)

You have a good debt-busting week too!!!! Have you got something you're tackling this month?

I'm getting OH to do this F&F tonight - eek! so excited to be able to get rid of it (it's a default on my file as well so can't wait to settle it!).

    Have a good day people!!

Hey Cottage, I've been a severe lurker on these posts for a very long time, and in that time have struggled to keep house and get son through school without moving and causing more upset in his life.

Well he's off to Uni now and after a year which has seen me made redundant I'm now being realistic and selling so i can rebuild credit, save for retirement and for at least a month learn to breathe again...(drama queen) but I'm slowly optimistic.......

Yes please can you send a virtual boot up the bum to buyer....not sure what their angle is yet but I'm sure all will become clear....fingers crossed as they say cant exchange till 14th but both solicitors and estate agents say that's not entirely true.

First time I've really posted any more than a couple of lines but have so enjoyed your thread..
Have a great week and watch those old habits change into bigger better future :j

sending good vibes to you all:D

  • hey wantabetterlife!!! :hello:

I think I just coughed a bit on my licorice allsort that you read this diary from front to back! I am going to give you a huge cheers  because you probably need it!! :rotfl:

But thank you so much for your very kind words! It really is the best thing (I'm sure I said this before) when people who read say hello!!! Supposedly I've had over 10,000 views of my diary (how many were me?!!) which kinda makes me think - wow!!! and makes me feel a bit humbled really :o

If I can show just one or two people that the hard work is worth it and that it isn't all tears and fear (both of which I have experienced) - nights crying because we argued over whether we should buy food or tobacco, hiding our car in the village rather than in front of our house when we thought a bailiff was coming around.

And also the shame - it's not shameful - i was ashamed, ashamed to ask anyone for help, I think the worst thing was when I had no money to buy a train ticket so I couldn't get to work and phoned my boss and burst into tears trying to make up an excuse!!!

But there is a light - you just have to get your mind in the right place and there's no point going in half-hearted I say because if you're not invested you're not going to get completely debt-free or if you do you might not be long from returning to debt-busting. (This obviously excludes those who have it thrust on them through no fault of their own - and those of you have my greatest support and sympathy).

Well - this post kinda took a turn I wasn't expecting! But thank you for popping in!! :rotfl::rotfl:

calling DCA this evening so will update again!!!!
    hugs to all

    xx

  • Not posted much lately as work been so busy, and failing at most of the challenges and being feeling very low. Reading all the threads I'm subscribed to has really helped me tonight. All my friends and colleagues seem to live the perfect life and it just feels like i'm the only one single, broke and in debt!

Gotta keep on going I guess... Off work tomorrow so can get about doing a clear out and listing some more stuff to sell.

Thank you everyone, without the forum god knows where I'd be.

  • Hey TF and raggydoll! Big hugs for you :grouphug:

Don't feel down - :( - as I'm sure you might know from my diary - I've had my ups and down since starting my debt free journey in May, I didn't make my NSD challenge last month but it's a temporary blip and even I need berocca to make me psyched for the game sometimes! :)

I'm broke and in debt and this week I might as well be single for all the attention the OH is giving!!!

But we've all got something in common - we wanna beat this debt b*tch!!! So keep your chins up huns! Sending hugs out all over to keep this up and keep ourselves going!!!!

PS - OH didn't call DCA this evening so still not cleared the debt - my man sucks sometimes!!!!

thank god he doesn't read this!! :rotfl:

  • Evening all...Hi TF...I'm broke, single and in debt too! And was having a glum old day myself too, but as I updated my diary I realised there were quite a few chinks of light in the day after all :) Keep your chin up and keep plodding...one step at a time..good luck with your listing tomorrow :)

Thanks CR for your post, I forgot to say in my update seeing that was a nice moment too! A little encouragement was just what I needed at that particular point :):)
