Anyone know if this offer is just for the first year or will the price be the same at renewal in 12 months time?

Hiya.
I just called up norwich union and tried using the code cqm1. I was told the code was only valid if you took out car insurance at the same time as purchasing the breakdown cover. So I was quoted £100 for my breakdown cover for a saxo.
Awww. ;-(

Hi folks,
Just phoned, quoted code but was asked if I had existing NU insurance - I said no. They quoted a gob-smacking £160 for homestart & roadside on a 1998 Laguna, even with the discount I'm sure it would it be cheaper elsewhere.0 -
Not so i called today using code got insurance with them in march wanted £100 for breakdown cover said no used code got it for£39 today ?0

have a 3 year old corsa with just spouse and i ... insured fully comp for £160 ... wanted to add 18yr old son who's just passed his test ... had to move to norwich union who were by far cheapest at £400.
rang yesterday for breakdown ,,,, they quoted £52 ( as website shows for resc/rec/at home /onward scheme) .. i then mentioned code and he immediately confirmed £26
stunning deal !!0 -
As NU have an age limit well below 80 for car insurance it means I am out of luck at 84 if they ask me that question0

Steve
I took out the deal the first time round in October 04.
It will be a while before the information you want is available but I would doubt the price will remain.
You also get 30% discount for year 1 which will be removed.
Unless you pretend to be a new customer again, which is exactly what I intend to do.
A saving is a saving, can you not go back to your old breakdown provider next year or do they tie you in??
