Just got a renewal from the AA for £151. Got the same cover from NU using the code for £72. Well chuffed. Hardly ever had to use the service but it's nice to have.

Does anyone know how long this offer is going to be on for as my breakdown cover does not finish until the end of june?
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
  • Shocked and stunned and not a little amazed, Thank you !!
Just to say I have just got off the phone with a price of £59.78. This is for joint personal cover, roadside, recovery and at home !!
Even the person on the phone seemed a little surprised by the price. :T

Mega thanks for this thread. Just got cover for £55.00 instead of renewal quote from rival of £169.00!!!!

No problems quoting the code - didn't need to be insured with NU.

I'm hoping tomorrow to try the code on my motorbike recovery - I'll post if it works!
  • When i just got my quote they said that it can be held at the quoted price for 60 days.

Have just managed to add motor bike recovery at no extra cost to my 2x car recovery - which in it's self was only £55.00!!!

Got mine this morning. Mentioned the ref number before getting the quote. Pug 206 2000 full works for 33 quid! :)

    Thanks to the OP!

I've just tried this and the person I spoke to said he needed to get it authorised, after checking he said that the code could only be used if I had Norwich Union Motor Insurance and wouldnt give me the discount!
    Waddle you do eh?

Hmmm... phone again. Depends on who you get by looks of things. I literally said "I'm phoning about getting breakdown cover... I got a letter in the post with a reference code in, you know - those mailings you get..." and she just put the code in and priceeded to ask me for my details.

DON'T give your details to start with, give the code first :)

    Good luck.
