Like post an offensive comment in a thread and have nothing of any merit to say?

My post was in reply to softinthehead/sortofok

If it was worth it i might, however this is not an artists playground, it's a forum dedicated to discussing and helping people as per the forum name!

People learn from their mistakes, he arrives and makes an !!!! of himself and gets flamed for it. That is fine by me. Maybe next time he'll be more polite.

The whole point of a forum is to get a variety of opinions. Anyone on here could be using a persona. There is nothing wrong with what Sortofok has done, apart from acting like a pr*t (sorry mate, but it is a bit self indulgent and childish) and some of us just don't like our sandbox being invaded. He's got over it and time will tell if he's a useful member of the forum society. IMO public forums are just that and its another example of caveat emptor.

Welcome to the site and I hope the future's not so controversial.

PS - he sounds just like some of the teachers I know...

I used to be the same.

But I'm not so sure now.

all very well for this guy to come out and tell this story, but i don't believe him one bit, just reading through it doesn't make any sense to me. I'm sure time will tell, i wasn't going to post on this thread anymore because i'm sure that in a weird way sortofok is quite happy that he's getting all this attention. I've nothing against you personally, as I said earlier in the thread I still don't understand your motives even though you have tried to explain them. I sure your probably quite lonely and want some attention but you could have contributed in more meaningful way and actually helped some people.

As other people have said its an open forum and people can post what they want (within reason) I just think it's quite childish that you seemed to go out of your way constantly to irritate people, and get a reaction.

I have to say, I'm inclined to agree with Stolt. The story doesn't ring true, especially the bit about "living and breathing Sortofok around his friends".

Surely you can't research the plot for your book without having to develop an alter-ego and pi55 everyone off?

I haven't seen any of the posts but the poster concerns me.

Sounds like he/she has been deliberately posting misinformation without regard to the affect this has on people - thinking that his own agenda justifies any damage done. "The end justifies the means" is a very shallow argument.

Teacher and writer - not sure which profession is more innappropriate. A writer is trying to influence the readership, a teacher trying to influence impressionable children. Given the morals of the poster I would certainly be concerned about any child of mine being under his influence. I wonder if the board of governors would have an opinion on his suitability.

I also wonder what he would say about his actions if he explained what he had done to his pupils. Would he say this is a suitable way to live your life or should you have more regard for others.

I very much doubt whether this thread is being honest either - sounds a lot like a continuation of the persona. Wonder if this is all a fantasy - doesn't sound like a teacher.

One thing worse than someone's moral outrage is that persons moral outrage of which they admit that they have not even bothered to read anything about the subject that they are morally outraged by.

Let me hazard a guess, Daily Mail reader?

Teacher, Premiership footballer or Market trader?

Who knows, do you care that much?

This forum is what we make it, sortofok discussed and helped many people on his mini-rampage, if he was posing as a doctor and told a MSE member to switch off a loved one's life support fair enough, I would understand the bad feeling, but he posted a lot of pseudo mumbo jumbo that no-one in their right mind would take as gospel.

Personally think you are still trolling using a different style (not that style has much to do with your performances so far). Things have been a tad tedious around these forums since you started playing. A couple of your posts have been slightly amusing but please do not interpret this as encouragement:).
