Not been on since last Friday, but have hit my budget figure already :-( however, if I hadn't been keeping a note of my spends the chances are I would have spent a lot more!
Asda last Saturday £82
Tesco - Monday £22 , wee bottle of wine bumped that spend up by £7
Lunch two days as busy at work £8,health food shop £3
My month ends next Friday, and I still need some fresh fruit and vegetables, and something for evening meals for 2 nights, but will keep that to a budget of £15. Sainsburys open here today so I have a £2 off a £6 spend voucher which will help :-) at last we have a choice as only had tesco up until nowEvery days a School day!0 -

Well August GC was bit of a disaster for me ..... But think I tried to cut down to much rather than follow the wise advice on here of knocking a bit off every month so when September challenge starts ill give my self a bit more leeway rather which will hopefully stop me spiralling into the "sod it" mode that I have been for the last week:(CC debt Aug 2018 £50.2K

Being on hols this month has completely thrown me up the left. OH and I's joint account is at £0 after totally overspending at the Edinburgh Festival! Too much cider and good food!! He has agreed to buy chicken for tonight's dinner out of "his money" so we don't have to put anymore on the joint credit card. We are eating at his parents tomorrow night and my parents on sunday night...have enough in the freezer hopefully to get us more or less through to pay day next friday (I hope!!) 500L of heating oil on top of hols has meant credit card spends and me being owed money from next month's joint account money, ahhh nightmare! See you all for another go in September!Save 12k in 2014 (my target: £10 000):

Well it's payday (a couple of days early due to the weekend and then the bank holiday) so I am all set to declare - on 'paper' (aka according to my signature) I have come in healthily under budget at a scrap shy of £66 but that's not really representative as bf bought a just shop when the new fridge freezer arrived
so...yeah not overly impressed with myself even though we probably have at least a weeks worth of food in the freezer/cupboards!
Back to £100 target for September as we are around all month and there's dog bits to get now our stash of food we bought whilst it was on offer before has gone but it has just gone back on offer today! Making a list tonight and will also set a meal plan as now we're going to start enjoying less salads/summer food it will help to know in advance what I'm making!************************************

Had a slight change to the meal plan - my housemate finished late last night so I cooked instead.
Didn't do the chilli con carne though - decided to do a Chicken tomato and mango chutney curry - used the last end of the Mango chutney and it was a lovely dish! Another condiment used up from the fridge - only about another 15 to go! :rotfl:
Tonight will be the breaded fish with new potatoes and broccoli with sweet chilli sauce as planned for yesterday
Next week will be a very mince based week since I have 3 packs of turkey mince, a pack of boneless chicken thighs and a pack of boned chicken thighs. Also have a tin of salmon (bought it for a recipe a long time ago - can't remember what!) and a tin of tuna, so I'll be okay for dinners until the end of the month and onto next.
ETA - £1.10 spent in Mr S yesterday
Hope everyone is well and has a great bank holiday! :beer:Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Is it a treat then to feed your cats,I thought you were supposed to do that, or do you mean you have bought a more treaty kind of food for them than you would normally have done?
I don't normally feed them on tinned food-they generally have dried. Yes-they do get fed daily!:rotfl:Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0
