sheepappar - ta for the birthday wishes and how exciting it's so close to your wedding - I couldn't type the excited squealy noice I wanted to make (lol) but have a fantastic day and enjoy your amazing amazing sounding honeymoon!

Whoever was asking about the potato scones - yes they are like potato cakes (we call them scones up here but Mr Ts does label them cakes so I assume we mean the same thing - flat salty carby semi-circle things you fry in butter to have with your fry up? Except I like mine cold and buttered straight from the pack ).

I'm incredibly ashamed to admit I buy them instead of making them :o as I have loads of potatoes in I might actually give making them a go if I have time before the weekend. Never done it before!

Congratulations on your wedding sheppapper! We had an italian honeymoon too; florence and then walking in Tuscany and my Mum's was in Sorento:)

Missed a receipt from the weekend so £4.15 to add for a bunch of flowers, a kinder egg DH promised DS and some ys crumpets for them both.

Total is £209.34 with 8 days to go until payday. All my meals are planned and on my shopping list for the weekend is blue milk, fruit and eggs so far.

Tonight we are having the spanish chicken and chorizo rice recipe from the recipe index which is one of my favourites.

    Hello all!
I'm getting married on Saturday (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!) and then going off on honeymoon for 2.5 weeks so I am abandoning ship for August and will see you all in September... I didn't manage to pay for my August wedding by doing the GC but it's definitely helped.. would have been a lot closer if it wasn't for moving house in June! Still all our debts are safely on 0% credit cards which we should be able to pay off before the 0% runs out.. so all the more need to stick to the GC...

Have a lovely day. Hope the sun comes out for your big day.

I had small spend yesterday in Mr M - two bottles of sparkling water (would have got it in big shop but it's 6p cheaper per bottle than in Mr T) and some naughty but gorgeous, date and walnut cake and one full price item. Total was £1.91 and then 50p in the C*-*p on YS spring onions.

Have to go in Mr M now for milk and sandwich meat and possible bread from C*-*p if any YS; but really should use the hoards of bread flour i have just got from AF ... two fussy girls prefer shop bought though !

I will update sig whilst in library, but i may be able to have better internet access at home now i have finally got the Xbox i bought from Microsoft over a year ago  ( bargain of £90 odd pound) out, as i have managed to get a second hand Kinect, which is why i originally bought it. Hoping to get into some Zumba and such like, and still do Wii fit on Wii. Still need to save the pennies, to get a PC tower and two laptops repaired :( and to reclear my OD which has jumped up a tad again. So definitely need to hit target this month. 18 days left and just over £100 left ...can she do it ???

Have spent £4.01 in Mr T Express, £7 in £-land (which included £1 for an ankle support), and £2.35 in a Mr A local. Also had a delivery from Okado - £98.98p.

Only ventured into Mr A for a lemon while visiting an adjacent shop (for non-GC items) and found some YS goodies which have now been shoe-horned into our freezer!

Okado had some good prices/offers on meat so have stocked up the freezer. (Example: 3 x 800gm packs of British Pork Shoulder Steaks for £10, which makes this £1.90 per lb.) Also, Vitalite was 82p, Daz Liquid £2, bread flour 80p. (Don't know the current price of bread flour in A1di or L1dl but find that Mr O's bread flour gives an excellent, reliable result in our breadmaker so I'm happy to pay the 80p.) Also bought a special offer pack of 12 Brita Maxtra cartridges for £32 from Mr O, which will last us for 2 years as we're in a soft water area and so a cartridge lasts for 2 months. (Our tap water has an overpowering bleachy taste/smell and using a water filter jug makes a huge difference.)

Yes, the Daz liquid has been on offer elsewhere for the same price but I took the opportunity to buy some more for the stock cupboard - now probably have enough laundry products to last for a year!

Trying to stretch the eggs, cheese, milk, fruit, etc., that are in the fridge until Monday. No reason other than for the challenge! Still using up the tins/jars/packets that I bought ready for our holiday last month and didn't take with us (thanks to DH having quietly budgeted for us eating out!) Also, need to work through the frozen veg that's in the freezer as some of it has been there for a while.

Have grown potatoes in three patio bags/sacks and one of them is looking ready so will be having a look at them tomorrow - hopefully they've done well this year.

It was me re potato cakes. I love them but I don't think I could replicate such loveliness.

Just spent £6.45 in Mr M, managed to get a few YS bits - cherries and raspberries.
C*-*p spends £4.40 of which the majority was YS (ten out of eleven items infact).
