Finally got some of the 69p for ten eggs in 99p store. They are mixed sizes but only a couple are what I would call small. So pleased with them.

Spent 5.00 on fruit and have made up fruit salads for the freezer, Kiwi, plum, apricot, grapes and strawberrys is a lovely mixture and my five a day in one pot.

Was delighted to weigh myself this morning and have lost 4lbs. Feel really encouraged now have sorted chicken breast, prawns, pork chop,
a small steak, smoked haddock, roast beef and roast chicken in the freezer so can plan next weeks dinners. Dont have any potatoes but plan to use up the tins I stockpiled for the winter stash.

Can you please put me down for £150 this month. Both Hubbs and I are away with work this month, so should be easy to stick within the limit.

Our month will start on Friday, and will finish on the 30th.

My July doesn't start until payday (Tuesday) but if you could put me down for £175 this month, Coxy, that would be great!

Yes I am reducing it after several months at £185 - I must be mad :rotfl: wish me luck everyone!

My cupboards are very bare after having a 'storecupboard week' last week but then July is only a four week month and I managed on the £185 for the five week month of June, so I'm sure I can do it even without much in stock.

  • Hello

Please could I be put down for £300 for July please. I love this challenge, it keeps me on the straight and narrow (mostly :)). Big thank you to those running the thread.

My GC month runs from payday on 25th of month, so any spending from Tuesday will be in July GC. I've declared for June. Budget is for all food, drink, cleaning stuff, toiletries, guinea pig and garden bird supplies. Me, DS (12) and DD (9). Not any eating out though.

    Love to all.

    Hey,

I'd love back in with a budget of £100 this month, which will start next week as that's when my July starts. Going to do everything to keep within this budget as properly saving for a house now :)

So this month I decided to try and split my money out. Normally I spend a HUGE chunk of it at the beginning and then have to manage on a smaller and smaller amount each week leaving normally a pitiful £6 for the last week...or something like that!

So this month I split my budget as follows: :D

£28 for each weekly shop (five weeks for me this month)
£40 extra for the first shop of the month (try to get some meat offers included in that).
£20 towards toiletries/cleaning products (although it won't cover all of them, it helps take the sting out of the weekly shop money).

Getting cash out again is helping. I would quite like to go to a local PYO farm to pick some strawberries. Must make sure I don't spend too much!!

If anyone shops there, Waitrose has a voucher for a free 2 pint of 1% milk in their newspaper that they do. It expires 27th June, not sure when the paper changes but it was still in the store today. ;)
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!
