For dinner we had garlic bread, sausage roll with mushrooms & onions.
I make some rustic cherry & coconut scones.
I didn't bother with a cutter.
The scones are big and cost me a total of £1.14 for 7. So delicious compared to shop bought and I know what went into them. I made them with butter. It was on offer in Li..

The month is starting with bf off to Poland until Sunday - I'll be seeing my dad on Saturday and bf's mum on Sunday so will be using a bit of money then but probably not from the food budget.
First things on my list Angel Delight ice cream powder (Morrison's) and then second (Saturday at big ASDA as it's cheaper there) will be some fruit/veggies, pasta, multivits.
Anyone know the best place to get hay fever tabs (loratadine 10mg preferably) body care is 99p for two weeks (one a day but not the most effective)?
Think they are on offer in Mr T at the mo but not sure what strength or price ...my
supermarket may give you an indication. £39.42 / £250 here so far - a bit concerned as only 4 days into the month! It's mainly OH spending his money on treats but I might have to try and rein it in a bit...

Hello all
First spend under July budget yesterday of £30.43 in Aldi (mainly F&V and dairy, ham etc).
First time I had been there and went to see what it was like. While a few savings made on some F&V I don't think I'll be going on a regular basis.
I'm happy with Sainsburys so all in all I think I'll continue as I have been.
Will try to carry over for the usual fortnight but I may have to go to Sains next week for small interim shop of the things I couldn't get yesterday.
Either way will hopefully still have lower spend for this fortnight than would do normally which is the aim.
Have a good day all, will catch up with reading later on.

NSD today and I will be trying to make it one everyday this week until Saturday.
We don't really need much but I've been inspired by the 'take lunch to work' thread and have a few ideas of bits to keep at work so lunch won't always be such an effort as I will be able to make half at home but know I have 'just in case supplies' at work as well as keeping fruit and snacks at work. Much more manageable!************************************

Can I be put down for £150 please, 19th June to 18th July.
This is going to be hard as I have already spent £73:05. We had lots of people staying because of FIL's funeral. But money is very tight this month as OH has hardly been working (understandably) so got to cut back. I have been reading Frugal Queen's use ip up post s and Mortgage Free in Three's store cupboard challenge she is planning for July so the time has come. I have a boring task to do for work tonight so will do ten minutes of that, five of listing the stores and so on. I am looking forward to it!Grocery Challenge (2 adults 2 kids)
