Hi everyone, hope you all have sunshine today. Just done shop at Mr A. Spent 51.59. Gone over my budget a bit which leaves me with about £35 for the next two weeks but, I am stocked up with pretty much everything so should be just bread, milk and veg. |Don't think I am going to come in on budget but will keep as close as I can and then analyse the results to see where I've been overspending.:( I know I have been spending on veg and fruit from the the roadside but it tastes so much better straight off the field. Revisiting budget planning has become a necessity so I again draw out the cash at the beginning of the month and work with what I have. But I will need to look at the areas I need to adjust.

  • Had a flying visit from my mum and her partner yesterday and this morning, she took us out to dinner last night and paid for my weekly top up shop in Lidl. Very kind of her and means I have an extra £25 to play with this month, either to take advantage of some bulk buys or to save up towards the mortgage overpayments. :D Yay for mums, they are the best! :j

Popped to A*DI again today and spent more money :o. Not as much as if I'd got it all in Mr T though. Will check in later with the numbers. Did buy myself the pretty enamel compost bin that was on A8DI'S deal of the day. That won't be coming out of the grocery budget though, neither will the pretty starwberry tray i bought for the caravan :o.

I was wondering can anyone recoomend a nice dry white wine from A*di?

I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Spent £15.51 in Aldi this morning.

We are in for a really tough few weeks, financially. I have to repay £200 next week (then i am totally debt free!!) and i have booked the car in for a full service (£120) the week after as we will be going up to Kent to visit my Mum in August sometime (a cheap holiday!) and i need to make sure the car will make it :)

Sorry, i am blabbering on now!
So i am really on a drive to eat up as much from the house as i can, so that i dont spend any unnecessary money on food (or anything else!).

I am going to be researching things that the boys are I can do in Ashford for cheap (or preferably cheap) too, so if anyone knows of anything, please could you PM me? I dont know the area at all!
  • Dylan2011, if you take into account petrol prices, insurance etc, is it worth just ordering shopping online and getting a taxi if you need to go out? You could always ring a taxi service and ask how much they charge. We don't have a car and we pay £3.30 for a 2 mile trip to town if we need to go or walk it if it's nice. If we got a car, we would need to pay £100+ for insurance and then we would need a loan for a car in the first place so it seems a bit silly us getting one when we probably spend around just £20 on taxi's a month when we need one.

Obviously if it's expensive for a taxi, it's probably not worth it! xx

Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

    Small spend:
£1.10 - two packs of reduced Walls sausages
£0.19 - reduced pack of Warburtons sandwich pittas
    £0.45 - savers natural yogurt

    total: £1.74
Off to add it to my sig

ETA: not the NSD I was hoping for but a small spend on useful products. the sausages will be frozen along with the pittas once I've split them up and in a week or so when I visit them I will give my parents a pack :) The yogurt I have been told will help my throat along with a pineapple we have from the weekend!
