Thats usually the case in my house too. They all eat every veg/fruit ect. Not fussy at all. But the depression is getting to me, hence my post about convenience over the last 1-2 weeks. Sometimes its just easier isn't it? Plus i didn't wanna be cooking over a hot oven before going to work for the night. Convenience for me ment they got their own way.... but i'm ready to fight this now so fingers crossed normal service is resumed! :rotfl:
Its just occurred to me that i may not spend as much as i thought i might in August as 2 of my kids are going to stay with their birth mother for 2 weeks. This has perked me up a little. Not the fact that they are going, but my purse will have less strain on itSlimming World Challenge 2017 0/30.5lb

Afternoon all, just nipping in to report a second NSD - so far so good, with having planned 5 for this week I think I should be ok.
Just a tad under £30 of this months budget left and it needs to cover 14 days. BF has no training camps next week so will be at home for a full week for the first time in ages although I'm not expecting it to push the food bill up at alland the week after 'normal service' resumes and he has 3 days away.
Plans for my annual leave in August are no finalised and I will be away for a week as will bf (I'm off to watch him compete!) so will adjust the August budget as appropriate closer to the start of our GC month************************************

Hello everyone, hope you are all enjoying the weather.
It's been a bit of a funny week or so spendingwise as needed new supply of ice lollies (can't make our own at the moment as no room to freeze them!) but they were all on offer plus we needed additional salad bits to go with the burgers and hot dogs (already had YS burgers & saus) over the weekend.
So coupled with the milk, bread and the other bits DH has bought too I have £40.25 to add to the spends so far.
Still hoping for as low as poss this month may just about make it if DH stays out of the shop...
Updating sig now then better get the tea started.
Have a great evening, will be catching up with posts later.

Hello
Top up shop for this week done. 4 bottles of squash and 6 bottles of sparkling water from Ms and melon, peaches, kiwi, carrots, apples, potatoes, frozen peas, bananas, toothpaste, lemonade and cola from Ald*. Total spend was £9.95 so I was quite pleased with that as it keeps us on track for July as long as I stick to two more small top ups.

Before i forget, i've got a huge leek given to me off a neighbour. Any ideas/suggestions welcome as to what i can do with it. I usually only buy leeks for broth, which they can be expensive at times, so i'm wondering if there is anyway i can cut it up and freeze it??

Personally,if kids have had a hot meal at school, then I would be happy to give sandwiches and yogurt, as long as you plan for it then it can work out a very cheap meal. and gives you a break from cooking. My kids used to love cheese and crisp sandwiches, also egg or Tuna.Slimming World at target0 -
Sorry, forgot to say had a £2 spend on Quiches! I say quiches because whilst I would always make my own when I went to my fridge this morning 12 cheese and bacon quiches had appeared plus two packs of good bacon. Hubs works for a leading supermarket and they sometimes sell things off cheap and money goes to charity if outer packaging is damaged, hence 12 quiches and 2 packs of bacon for two quid. I had to today for tea and pack ups and have already parted with 4 to friends and the rest I will find room in the freezer. Lucky us!With Our Thoughts. We make our world - Buddha

Evening all,
Another NSD today
Half price Mr L turkey breast steaks (from freezer) for dinner, chopped up with frozen peppers and onion for fajitas
Am hoping that my bank account will be alot healthier at the end of the month I need to prove to myself that I can keep money in my purse not frittering it way and things i WANT not need.
I tend to 'treat' myself when I,m feeling down, I,ve got to learn to enjoy the simple things in life, and that doesn,t include yet another pair of shoes......
Anyway enough of me driveling on
Have a fab evening all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
