Hello all!
My July starts a lot later than most of you so it seems, but I'm in for £130 again
And once again, I'm starting off with bare stocks, so hoping I can keep myself restrained! :rotfl:
Good luck all and thanks to everyone who helps keep this thread running!Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Good evening all
I've been a lurker for a while now, but adding up my receipts this week I spent £60 a week on food for just me in June. shocking!
So I would like to put myself down for £50.00 a week, running from today until 29th July. £225 for the whole month.
Easing myself in slowly, with a rather large shop at £59.04/£225. Hoping this will last 2 weeks if I stick to my meal plan, and will only need topping up with salad/fruit etc0 -
Evening All
First weekly shop of month at Ald* as I had £5 off Mirror voucher. The additional coupons that came with it were not much use to me this time. Spent £52.83, but lots for my money. Have updated signature.
I am working my way through trying Ald* range of toiletries. I already use quite a lot of range for me, DS and DD. This time seeing what I think of herbal bubble bath and a lip gloss.
Been on my feet all day, but food shop and all the washing and ironing done, so putting my feet up for a bit.

Mr F went shopping - with a list.
He almost kept to it.
Had a £10 gift card from doing surveys - ended up just spending £1.78 cash.
The potatoes in Sainsbugs are only £1.19 for 2.5kg! Cheapest I have seen - good range of sizes too.
So for his gift card and £1.78 - he got - 5kg potatoes, 18 eggs, 2 packets of water biscuits, trex, nectarines, satsumas and off list - 2 bags of fruit gums.
Dinner was sausage roll with potato croquettes and baked beans.

Hello everyone
Please can I go down for £450 for July? Have failed completely for the umpteenth time, so trying again. Adult DS is away for 10 days, so we are going to pretty much eat out of the freezer and pantry. Along with not having to buy for him this should make things a bit easier to manage to start with!
Going to trawl through some recipe books and the recipes on here, and do some meal planning tomorrow.

Would like to join please. Need to keep focused on spends this month as have over spent in other areas.
Please put me down for £250 month runs from 27th June till 29th July.
Went shopping yesterday and spent £40.40 of my budget.0 -
Spent a shade under £37 today at ASDA. Over the £25 I had been aiming for but I got two packs of Belvitas for bf at just £2 a pack (the yogurt filled ones) which is a saving of 80p a box or thereabout. Also picked up a couple of fresh pizzas and froze them for a couple of easy, quick treat meals when bf is back.
Also had forgotton we needed multi Vits (£3.50) and kitchen cleaner (£2), cereal (£1.70) and jay cloths (2@30p)..it all adds up so quickly BUT it's all stuff that will last.
1.5months for the multi vits (1 a day each, 100 tabs), two months for the kitchen cleaner if not longer (used once a day, tiny kitchen ), 2 months for the jay clothes (we quarter them)...etc.
We should have plenty of food in now for the next two, if not three weeks! Especially with bf away 3days a week (sometimes 3.5 when gb wants them there the night before camps start!). I have very basic meals when he's gone so we might just need a couple of bits. Fresh salad or chips for example.
And of course milk and bread :-)
So whilst almost half the budget is gone already I'm pretty positive about staying on track !
Sorry for babbling!************************************

Yay just weighed myself ,another 3lbs off. So first half stone gone. This is really working for me though God knows how as I seem to be eating for England.
On the budget side I am spending more as fruit and veg so dear, but feel its going to be worth it to be fitter and of course on the plus side is that if I keep it up I should have a whole wardrobe of clothes that fit me again so wont have to buy new.
Did manage to get half price reductions in Asda, got steak .turkey breasts and prawns for 6.00, portioned up for 12 meals. and will be going today to see what fruit and veg I can get.
So first week I have spent 25.00 but got loads that will be used next month and also stocked up a a few spices I didnt have to try some more slimming world recipes.Slimming World at target0
