I can't believe I am saying this but I think I am going to let my cleaner go!! Looking at the state of the front room I am currently in, I can't understand my reasoning but I think it is about time I took control of my mess and started cleaning my own house

Please tell me this makes sense or am I trying to run before I can walk

p.s Sorry to sound like such a sap. BTW I would only be saving £70pm by DIY (myself that is!)

Hello, everyone! Not been doing much Flying today - the weather's been fine (but not warm IYSWIM). The forecast has given this as the only dry day this week, so needed to get into the garden. I did a lot of weeding - does that count

    So today I have done:

Shopping - done and all put away
Farm shop - F&V for the weekend
Dyson - emptied and filters changed
    Stairs - hoovered by DS
    Living room - hoovered
Washing machine drawer - cleaned at last :j :j
    Chimney - swept
    Fireplace - cleaned
    Rayburn - serviced
BM - set up for overnight
Washing - done, dried and put away

    For tomorrow:

    Tidy my room
    Dust, tidy, hoover DS's room
    Ironing
Baking - lemon drizzle and chocolate yogurt cakes
Deep clean bathroom and upstairs loo

We've been invited out for tea, so will spend the next hour (that would have been cooking) starting on those jobs.

    See you tomorrow, Penny. x

I dont have so much anymore. place is looking so much neater for it. i do have a pile of stuff to go on e-bay that i might list tonight if i have time before BIG BROTHER!

Been potty training 2yr old. he does all his business on it when hes got bare bum, but soon as he's got undies on he has accidents, I was hoping he'd be out of nappies in the day soon, looks like another long haul. mind you he's doing really well considering his bigger brother would not even consider potty training till after he was three and we have only just got him dry at night, he was still in nappies at night when he started part time at school!
Oh well roll on bed time:rotfl:
    Nothing to declare ;)

Hi all, another busy day here, just grabbing a little quiet time on the laptop before tutorial tonight. Have posted tomorrows list incase I get back late.

DP is currently stripping down another RC car, in my kitchen grrrr!!!!! He hasn't even cleared what was used yesterday so will drop a subtle hint before I go, ok probably a big hint, I don't do subtle well.

Woodyrocks, geting rid of the cleaner would be a great step, but a rather big one if you're used to having that luxury. I would say great idea, but only when you're ready to do it. There are others on this thread who have done the same thing. I do sometimes feel guilty for those now unemployed cleaners sometimes :o

Have got a lot done today, inc a lot of things we needed to get done like taxing DPs car, collecting parcels, posting, returning some things, visiting his Nana (need to be over there more next week doing her house aswell as her daughters away who does the rest) aswell as the list etc so quite pleased.

Bit I was pleased the most myself for was going through a shop (post office is at the back) and buying nothing because I didn't need anything. Even my partner commented that this is a first for me, ever!

Oh and I emptied the change tin I've been saving last bits for holidays, £425!!!! Wohooo!!!!!
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
