    Well done Curv! :T

Did you have to sacrifice anything or substitute any of your usuals?
Nope... got everything on my list and even snook in a yellow-stickered stir fry sauce. I was a bit cheeky too - my 4&1/2 month old has recently changed to Aptamil 'hungry baby' milk - I had 9 cartons of the pre-made first stage milk sitting on top of my fridge... I took them with me and they swapped them for the 'hungry baby' equivalent, which was nice :D

It will get more interesting in a week or so when I've used up what's in the freezer and cupboards... I'll have to seek out a bulk meat supplier. Having said that, my weekly budget will actually go up next month - it's really low right now due to a massive spend at the start of the month.

How do other people deal with buying in bulk? Do you just estimate how long the bulk stuff will last and then reduce your weekly budget for that amount of time, or what?

Well...as predicted....I'm going to fail my challenge again this month:mad:

Got around £6 worth of top-up bread/milk/potatos midweek and my Tesco shop has just been delivered....£53.54 (including £5.99 service charge & vouchers/BOGOFS etc)

I have got loads of things that I bought earlier in the month still left (2 1/2 big pkts nappies, 3 tins formula, massive box washing powder, 11 tins Heinz beans etc..) but will still need to get fresh/fridge stuff next week. I'll also need to buy bananas in the week as I thought I'd ordered a packet of kids size bananas, but actually ordered 1 solitary one:rotfl: - bet the Tesco 'pickers' had a laugh at my expense!!!

Anyhow..will try to keep as low as possible next week...but will definately go over budget:o

your still working on it though, thats the whole point. If you really cant do with less then thats good too, means your working to your own budget allready and thinking about what you buy. It will kick in eventually somewhere. If not, at least your not spending more. Thats enough excuses for anyone. Keep on trying.

Ran out of toilet rolls! I never do this, had to get down to Asda pronto, and as I had a couple of visitors last night bought some orange juice and cranberry juice for fancy vodka drinkers, more milk for tea drinkers, after moc,s came off only spent £3.96. Will edit sig.

:T woohoo :T this month is not going too bad at all. Got just over 2 weeks ( 2 shops ) to go and it looks like Im going to make it - I have £38 per week left to spend for myself, DD, DDog & rabbit. I went totally over budget last month plus I have reduced my budget this month too so I think I will try to keep my budget at £175 per month - seems like it is my comfortable level. Only eaten out once so far too.
Might even start getting some produce out of the garden soon but I think something has been at my rocket  got loads of strawberries but no red ones yet :p

can someone help me. I jointed these boards last evening and found a site about daily planning of housework and Anthea Turner. I just cannot find it again. Need some practice of getting around on here

Hello & welcome. If you go to the 'Thread Tools' tab at the top of each page you can subscribe to the thread you're looking at. Then, when you want to get back to it go to the 'Quick Links' tab, click 'Subscribed Threads' and that brings up a list of all the threads you've subscribed too, that way you don't have to remember where they are or trawl through pages to find them. Hope that makes sense :D

As for my budget, I've come in a little over, but think i might move the bottle of wine for tonight into my 'Socialising' budget, if nothing else it'll make me feel better :rotfl: Pay Day on friday :j

Back from hols, had to go shopping today for some things as we'd ran stocks down before holidays of many things and had no fruit/veg etc in. Also have to add for the bottled water etc had to buy when we were away, spent just over £40 inc both. Still not doing too bad so far, hopefully will come in under budget this month.
One day I might be more organised...........

YAAY! just scraped by under budget for the week. This I have to say is mostly due to use of moc,s and the bored s/a in my fav shopping place, who couldnt be bothered to weigh my spuds last night, and didnt charge me, and took coupons worth £1.83 leaving me to pay 41p on my small shop. I might, when I feel brave enough, try the pin money challenge, and not take the mocs off my shopping budget, but not just yet
