Well done Nova5, you pick when the month starts and ends for you, I,m doing weekly as I cant carry big loads, and dont really stick to meal plans as I get taken out a fair bit, so fresh stuff is always in danger of going off.
Poohbear , do you think they do that on purpose so you wont send them again? All is trial and error with this. Swings and roundabouts, it,s all in the game, keep going:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

If people really want to look into what they are spending and where a good way is to document everything. It does take time however. Keeping all receipts, then in addition a list of what you ate each day aswell as any waste. You'll soon know where the extras are going, in our house it was the snacking that crippled the budget (and the waists
) so that is where I have cut back the most, also portion sizes and wasted food.
poohbear, well done on getting this far, it seems highly unfair that noone else chips in however but sometimes I know this can't be helped.
Proud to say I haven't been to the shop since the last update but will need to go soon, so far I'm over half way through the month and have half the budget leftfirst time in a while. Tonight we had no gravy in the freezer and wasn't doing a roast but with a few stock cubes and some flour managed to make some
One day I might be more organised...........

GGGRRRR.. I need to start taking either a calculator or a brain with me when I shop. I had a £3 off a £20 shop voucher for Mr T's so I called in for what I hoped would be the last shop of the month, cat food, fruit, reduced freezer bargains, bread flour. I thought I had it sewn up but when I got to the till it was 20p short of the £17 I would've had to pay if I'd made it up to £20. I missed out on £3 of 'free' stuff.
Bums. Sorry just had to have a shopping rant.
I've reached the £110 mark for sure. Only 10 days until payday..One debt v 100 days Part 14 £400/£400

I know! I was at the front of quite a queue and it's one of those enormous Tesco and I just dithered. I think I'd be useless on one of those trolley dash things that I fantasize about too :rotfl:

Since I have been lurking on these boards I have changed my energy supplier, changed credit card and saved £10 off my weekly £50 shopping bill this week. De-scaled dishwasher and washing machine with white vinegar instead of all those expensive tablets and bought stardrops for household cleaning. Looked on flylady board and tried to do some of the cleaning rota, found my home is looking tidy and clean with just a bit more organisation in the mornings. I love this site and wish I had found it years ago. I'm on a roll folkes.0
