Right quick update. My month started 25th May runs till 29th June. Spend to date £86, so left of my £350 budget £264. We have my mum visiting for the next couple of weeks so have not reduced budget this time but plan to in the following months.
Will be popping to Asda at the weekend for a "big" shop - washing powder etc.
Right off to meal plan for next couple of weeks. So glad I kept receipts at least I know how much I have left.0 -
Right first weeks shop at Mr T an online one as they sent a £20 off voucher as we hadn't shopped online in a while
I had worked out a months mealplans and already had some reduced meat and fish leftover from last month. Used the voucher plus a £25 coupon from last quarterly mailing (usually use them for deals but have family over so extra mouths this month already) and also bought bogoffs esp toiletries, washing powder.
Grand total £153.48  Half my months budget but
Minus coupons £45.50
Minus bogoffs £23.89
Total shop £89.08
Month budget £300
Left £210.92MFiT Member No 85

Spent another £7.50 today on M & S food at the garage! It made a lovely picnic though and there is plenty left over for tomorrow! £16.80 so far!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
Jan grocery challenge £35.77/£1200 -
I'm joining in for the 1st time this month.
Our budget is set at £100 for myself and DH. We usually spend about £200 but I got down to about £150 in May so fingers crossed!! I may add £30 to that as I just bought a MR fastbake BM (i'm so excited, can't wait to make jam in it from PYO) but I'd be really pleased if that could come into the £100 total. Freezer and cupboards are pretty well stocked and I already have breadmaking ingredients so that's ok.
Our other challenge for the month is no take-away food. OH normally pays for this and I reckon we spend an extra £150 a month! I'm including in this everything from ready meals to starbucks coffee on a Sunday morning.
What we save is going towards Florida in September (hopefully) for my 30th birthday!!
Just going to Tesco now before work0 -
Well OH and I needed some veg so we went to Netto and got a basket full of stuff which came to £6.24 so we've only used a tenth of our budget so far.
£53.76 left for the month!0 -
Hi.
Had to spend today as it is my Mums birthday tomorrow. I seem to be eating into my planned budget at an alarming rate but as i am including everthing from tobacco to beers it will interesting what i spend on this per month.
Have a good day

Think I went slightly over my budget in May, but only by a couple of pounds (lost the last receipt), so I've dropped my target by £10 this month.
Good luck to all:beer:0 -
That wasn't too bad. Only spent £14.06 and got pretty much everthing I need for the week. Loose peppers are half price at Mr T's - 39p each so I stocked up a bit.0

Hi All,
Is it too late to join in?
Have spent £13 at the weekend (fortunately kept all receipts stuffed in purse)
Budget for the month £160 as a guess for 2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 cats. Cats are already paid for as bought massive buscuits sack when on offer in March!!:oFebruary Grocery Challenge 262.50/250.00 - overspend - oh no!
March GC 0/300.00
Weight loss goal - lose 14 lbs by May 18th 2016 - so far 3 lbs lost0 -
Ordered my fortnightly shop at Mr T's onlinethis morning. Came to £73 not including discounted items. Hoped to keep it around £60 but needed a few expensive items like washing tablets £4 something, Vanish around £3, Jeyes fluid around £3 etc. so spent a bit more than I expected
. Anybody know a good substitute for Jeyes fluid for cleaning outside drains, the DW is a bit finicky when it comes to that sort of thing.
