Undertaking may not be illegal but its damn stupid in my experience.

Just because there isn't a specific law about undertaking, in most circumstances it is illegal, but would come under one of a few different laws.

    2) - I'm a a 2 lane carriageway, another 2 lane carriageway merges from the left, I'm now in lane 3 of a 4 lane carriageway - I actually want to get over to lane 1 because I have to turn off at the next junction a half mile ahead but there are a stream of bozos who are zooming up the 2 lanes next me undertaking me - I then have to dive across 2 lanes to get into L1 in gaps between them - and its its suicidal sometimes.

    You're indicating left, of course?...

Not my photograph, I have no idea if the photographer was a driver or passenger.
Edit: Looks like driver, so bonus hypocrisy points too!

That van is a film prop and is not a policeman driving it. Have a quick Google.

I love MLM's, I don't understand what the problem is. How else would you relieve the tedium of long motorway drives without being able to play circles?
