    Hello

I wrote a huge post the other day and lost it and it annoyed me so much I haven't tried again:o

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, I had a lovely day and got thourougly spoilt:D sounds like you have a birthday coming up too LGP?

It's not been a very frugal week but I really feel like today I have been more on the ball and I'm hoping the momentum will carry on. I need to work out my OP and check the mortgage balances, I haven't even done that yet which is one of the first things I do at the beginning of the month:eek:

Today has been a lovely day andi haven't spent a penny:T I finally got a lie in for the first time in ages and i feel so energetic:T This morning I had someone come to quote us for cleaning and treating the decking, I have no idea how much this is likely to be, I hope it isn't too much. Dh then went to get his haircut (budgeted for) and whilst that was happening the children and I went down to the river and fed the ducks and played on the play area. A good time was had by all:T we came home for lunch and this afternoon we have been in the garden, planting seeds and potatoes and we had a bonfire to get rid of all the dead branches and twigs that we're hanging around. The little ones got filthy so are now in the bath:D we also picked a good crop of rhubarb so dh is making it into a couple of crumbles as I type:D I think I'll give one to my friend who had the baby last week as it's nice not to worry about what's to eat.

Dd1 is on brownie camp this weekend so it has been really peaceful and relaxing, obviously we're missing her but it's nice to have a break from the tween stroppiness :rotfl: we'll be collecting her tomorrow lunch time and I expect her to be absolutely shattered, it's a shame her school haven't broken up for Easter yet.

Tonight dh and I are going to have the ther half of our take away that has been in the freezer for a week and our film for tonight is Gravity which I'm really looking forward to watching:T

Hi TW, I'm really struggling to catch up on people diaries at the moment, sorry to hear you are being scuppered though (love that word:D) I hope things improve for you soon

Another lovely NSD today, not quite as productive as yesterday but I did get a little DIY done. We picked dd1 up from brownie camp and as predicted she was shattered and very grumpy:( it's lovely doing all these things but it really takes it out of her.

I really need to defrost my 2nd freezer so I'm trying to empty it. I got a tub of soup out of it today and I had no idea what flavour it was :rotfl: it was surprise soup:D I really must get a labelling gadget. I think it was butternut squash but can't be certain. That will be my lunch for the next few days though. Dh just made us some delicious tuna pasta which we haven't had for ages, it feels good to be eating out of the store cupboard:T

Tomorrow i have quite a lot of housework to catch up with and then it's ballet and swimming for dd2. We have some friends coming to visit us at the weekend and I would really like to get a few DIY jobs finished off before then. I also have a huge pile of stuff to take to the tip:eek:

I managed to get 4 items listed on fleabay this weekend, could have done better but fingers crossed I do better than last time. I also brought dh a jumper on there, as I'm starting to think about summer/holiday wardrobes.

I have some more CDs and DVDs to scan into music magpie this week to clear some more space in the drawers and get some more cash to op:T got to get my mojo back with decluttering and selling stuff.

    That's it for now

It was really good, I didn't know what it was about apart from that it was set in space, but I really enjoyed it. The special effects were amazing also, I think it won oscars for them. I definitely recommend it, it was also good to see Sandra Bullock and George clooney in a different genre of film

  • Hi Crumpets, glad you had a good birthday :). I bet you're not as old as me [STRIKE]40 next year argh[/STRIKE]

Good luck with the decking quote. I'm waiting to hear back from my gardener. Having that useable outside space is so valuable with kids.

Have you tried listing from the eBay app, if you have a smartphone? I find it tons quicker & easier. It's one of the few apps I rate! I listed 51 things this weekend (I've shocked myself with that to be honest!)

    Have a good week

    Xx

Hi RT, wow! 51 items on eBay! That's got to be a record:T I do use the app and find it much easier than it used to be, I have no excuse though for only listing 4 items:o:D

My head feels like its going round in circles today, I have a really busy week ahead and I have lots of things to juggle:eek: I think a list is needed
Tidy and clean house ready for visitors at the weekend Organise weekend activities Comittee meeting tonight Volunteer for Pre school Easter fayre on thurs Make Easter cake for ^^ Shopping and meal meal plan, particularly for weekend, we may have a BBQ if weather is good Take stuff to charity shop

Dh has been through a really tough year and he's just finished 12 months of a really nasty treatment so I'm organising a little get together on Sunday for close family and friends to celebrate that that chapter is now over. We'll hopefully have a BBQ and I've ordered a cake, will need to get some fizz and nibbles too.

I feel like I haven't stopped this morning yet, but it doesn't really look like anything has been done  I've just had a text from dd1 school to say a failed to send her in with 50p to buy a cake at break time, so to bring it in later. Talk about making me feel like a bad parent:(

I have discovered I have a £5 coin that I've had since I was a teenager, it's a Princess Diana memorial one. I don't think it's worth anything but does anyone know if I can just pay it in to the bank to get my £5? If I can then that will go towards this months op:T I still need to look at last months grocery spends to see if there was any left to op. I'm hoping that there will be a little bit, but it's definitely a struggle getting the shopping in in budget each week:cool: it will be so nice once I don't need to buy nappies for Ds anymore. I think I'll see if he's ready to potty train in the summer:eek:

Well it's stopped raining here so I'm going to take the little ones into the garden for some fresh air

Hi Crumpets, have your school hols not started yet? Ours are underway as of today [STRIKE]which is why I'm on here whilst DS is in front of CBeebies[/STRIKE] :rotfl:. I've had it where I've forgotten to send money in to school, I just blame my OH ;)

Sorry to hear your DH has been so unwell, what a stress. I hope you have some clear blue water to look forward to now :)

I've no idea about the Diana coin but I'd do a Google search before taking it to the bank in case it's really rare & worth 1000 times the original sterling value having a fantasy Only Fools & Horses moment there

Yes my eBaying was a bit full-on! I took a load of iPhone photos Sat morning then listed them from the passenger seat of the car on quite a long journey we made :T I think your excuse for not getting more on is simply several young children to deal with!

    Have a good afternoon x
