That has made me laugh! I always forget to take spare clothes with me and DS3 always has an accident. This morning it was in the cafe while I was having coffee with a friend for her birthday (not very MSE but a nice treat!) - luckily not a bad accident though and we didn't have to buy new clothes!
I've been going to bed far too late as well - although it is completely self-inflicted as I was out last night and decided to watch the Bake Off final on catch up when I got home - I didn't want the surprise of who won to be spoilt by seeing it on facebook or someone telling me today!
Enjoy your early night.

My children don't want to sleep...aarghh:mad: the past 2 nights we've had dd2 in bed with us and Ds has not been wanting to nap or go to bed so therefore I'm feeling tired and frustrated as there are certain jobs I can only do whilst the little ones are in bed (like browse mse:p)
Yesterday I sent Mr C shopping as I couldn't face doing such a big shop with the kids in tow, he went slightly over budget but the cupboards and fridge are full now and meals are all planned for the next week.:T we have guests staying tomorrow night and we'll be having hm pizza for dinner and on Sunday, roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, followed by a fruit crumble of some sorts. My sister in law and I will deserve it as we're doing a 10k race on Sunday morning:eek:
Today has been a LSD, just £3.50 spent on tea and cakes for the PTA thing after school. I managed to do a fair bit of housework, I even made my own furniture polish using white vinegar and lemon juice. :money: My house smelt a bit vinegary at first but I lit an oil burner and it soon went. I'm trying to reduce the amount of chemicals we use so I was quite glad when I ran out of polish. I also put the final coat of paint on a dining chair so that's ready to be waxed and have a new seat cover tomorrow. I made a start on dd1's patchwork quilt that I'm making her for Christmas, I laid out all the squares and created the design so it's all ready to start sewing. Not sure when I'll have chance to do it, I think it will be an evening job once everyone is in bed.
I need to be out fairly early in the morning as we have a table at our local tesco to sell a charity calendar that a group of us have made. Hopefully we'll make lots of money:beer: I'll probably spend money on costa coffee though to keep warm:cool:
I think that's all for today

Morning! We all got up far too early because of the clocks going back!
We had such a busy weekend with lots of fun things going on, and not much money spent at all, probably about £10 for the whole weekend :T Yesterday I did my first 10k challenge, it was sooo tough and muddy and up an enormous hill but it was great fun:D I'm aching and hobbling around today though:D I am going to spend £3.50 on an official photograph:cool:
I ordered myself a couple of tops yesterday from Joules, 15% off and tcb:money: looking forward to having a cosy new jumper... Still not got the heating on in Crumpet cottage:T
Today is the first day of half term so I'll need to think of some frugal activities for the children. I need to pop into a nearby town this morning but we might do some hallowe'en craft this afternoon, there are lots of fab ideas on pinterest to pinch;) it's my dads birthday on Wednesday so I will pop to the local farmshop and make him a hamper of yummy local goodies, my budget is £20. We'll make him a cake tomorrow if we get time.
Mr C and I STILL haven't done our finances:mad: that is definitely tonight's job.
Breakfast is calling me now

Enjoy your half term Crumpets! Halloween craft is a good idea. I saw a recipe for these Floating Ghost Muffins which looks great fun to make so will probably make those with my children. I have relented to their demands for TV in the meantime! http://www.sainsburys-live-well-for-less.co.uk/recipes-inspiration/recipes/floating-ghost-muffins/
Love the sound of the Joules tops - I adore Joules. Very glad I don't have a store too near me otherwise I'd spend a fortune. And well done on the 10k run. I can barely run 10m let alone 10k, so am in awe of anyone who can run that far.November 2007 £570k 25 years - MF March 2033

Hi there :j we're half way through half term and so far so good. I haven't spent much money at all yet, just a few £ yesterday on the spooky trail at a local NT property and a hot chocolate to warm me up
it's my dads birthday today so I got him a bag of goodies, I think I spent slightly over £20, but he's the only dad I have so need to treat him every now and then;)
Tomorrow dd1 is booked on to a craft workshop at the local theatre which has cost £7.50, she'll enjoy it though. There is also a free hallowe'en party at the village hall in the evening so they'll just need some money for the tuck shop. It will be dd2s first time at going to the local children's activities...she's growing up fast. We are reusing last years costumes, so should be pretty cheap. Because we live in the middle of nowhere we don't get trick or treaters come to us so I won't need to buy lots of sweets :T
I'm going to try not to do a big shop this week, we should be able to put together plenty of meals from what we have in, I'll plan my meals tomorrow. It's cheese and potato pie with bacon for dinner tonight...yummy comfort food.
It's gone really cold here now so I think we will be putting the heating on soon, I've got the fire going at the moment but it doesn't give out a great deal of heat. Yesterday we had a delivery of logs..£85 for a cubic metre. That will hopefully last us well into the new year, depending on the weather. Will also need to check the gas tank on Friday to see if we need a delivery...of course the prices are going up now that it's winter:mad: I'm really looking forward to getting a wood burner, that should drastically cut down the amount of gas we use:T
