That's the type of thing GG, that's given me a few ideas, although not the graffiti:eek:

Lily that's a good idea about the random spot checks by the elf, I like that idea. I'm just reading your diary by the way, only a couple of pages to go:T

Been a quiet day today, only spend was putting the car through the car wash and buying my folks a new cable for their DVD player. They did cook us a lovely Sunday lunch so it was a good deal:)

Car is going to be repaired tomorrow after my incident the other week. Will be getting a curtesy car...I wonder what we'll get? As long as it fits us all in that's the main thing.

Just watching George Clarks amazing spaces from last week, it really makes me want to buy a camper van to squeeze us all in for lots of holidays...these things really aren't compatible with being a MFW :rotfl:

Goodness you must be bored stiff. All I do is moan :D

I loved the woman on amazing spaces who turned a horse box into a vintage clothes shop. Her children are going to have such wonderful memories of their adventures travelling with her.

Not at all Lilyp, you've come a long way in your diary. It's very inspirational:) I also loved the horse box, I'd love to have the vision to do something like that, unfortunately we don't have a spare few grand lying around at the moment.

Today has been a NSD, I had to wait in this morning for our courtesy car to arrive...they've replaced our 7 seter with a 3 door C3:mad: I don't think we'll all fit in at the same time. Hopefully we won't have it for too long. By the time that happened it was Ds's nap time so we couldn't go shopping. I'm hoping Mr C will volunteer to go out and do it tonight as we've run out of a lot of things. This afternoon I had to pay £24 ballet fees but that's budgeted for. :)

I'm not doing very well with the ops this month, I have very little in the pot. I've got a few eBay things to list but I'm waiting for the next flw. I feel like I've lost my mojo a little bit, I seem to want to spend money at the moment. It must be the time of year.:(

I've had the lurgy:( dd2 and I have a had a horrible sickness bug over the last 48 hours, I hope we're over the worst now.

On the plus side I haven't spent any money so I'm hoping to have at least £30 left at the end of the week for the op pot. I've also sold 2 CDs on eBay that need to be packaged up and posted. I didn't get much for them but more than music magpie were offering.

As I was poorly dh went to do the weekly shop yesterday in Tesco:eek: he spent £85, he did get quite a lot though including a huge pork joint and steak, he also got a voucher for £9.80 off from their price guarantee as well as £5 off a £40 shop so if we're savvy we should be able to get a lot of the Christmas food for not a lot of ££:money:

This morning I've ordered a heated airer from Lakeland as we really need to be able to dry clothes faster than we can at the moment. I've read lots of good things about them so I hope it's worth the money.:T

    That's it for now

I'm so excited about my airer, it's been dispatched today:T have you ordered yours lily?

Today has been another bleurgh day, I'm still feeling sick, I've not had more than a couple of biscuits a day since Tuesday and I'm seriously fed up of feeling poorly now:( I brought some Yakult today so I'm hoping that helps sort my tum out.

I had to stock the chickens up today with food and corn and brought some fat balls for the birds so I spent £36 in countrywide. I also need to get sand and gravel for their run so that will be another big spend on them tomorrow.

We haven't got much planned for the weekend, I think dh is taking the kids to mil's and leaving me at home:T I need to start sewing dd's quilt otherwise it won't be ready for Christmas. I might also start wrapping up some presses if I get chance:T:santa2:

Friday night film is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire:D

  • I love reading your diary Crumpets - it always inspires me to do something new! I am definitely going to get an elf on the shelf - never heard of it before but know the children would love it! - AND start watching Amazing Spaces on catch up. I have seen a few clips from it and they look amazing. I totally agree with you though that watching things like that makes you want to spend money!

Sorry to hear you have been ill - I dread sickness bugs. DD went to a party on Friday and the birthday girl was sick half way through - they had been all over each other so am watching her like a hawk for signs of illness. 4 children and sickness bugs are not a good combination... Hope you are feeling much better now!

Hi CA, your kids will definitely love the elf on the shelf, and I think you might have a lot of fun with him too:) it's up to you how cheeky you make him, I always make sure to put him in a different place every day and he comes on December 1st and goes back with FC on christmas eve night. I think the cheekiest thing ours got up to last year was pinching a mince pie:D I love GCAS I also have a bit of a crush on William (the master craftsman):o

The weekend has been a bit of a mixed bag, the handle snapped off my steam mop so will have to buy a new one. I'm a bit annoyed as I haven't had it all that long and it's a black and decker one so I expected it to last longer than 12 months. Luckily my mum has come to the rescue and lent me hers for the time being so I haven't got to rush out and buy a new one straight away. On Saturday evening dh and I went to see a fantastic folk band and spent £20 on CDs, I don't normally buy CDs but they were really good:)

Yesterday was a LSD, just £2 on DVDs from the library and £5 on tae kwon do. Dh didn't get chance to take the kids to mil's so i didn't start my Christmas wrapping. I did get up in the loft to sort out the presents and the kids have plenty. I feel so pleased with myself for buying their presents using topcashback money. Anything I have got from TCB has been taken from the Christmas fund and op'd:T

Today Ds is poorly:( so we're not doing much, I still need to post some eBay parcels and dd2 has ballet this afternoon.

My Lakeland heated airer has just arrived :T:j:T::j off to do some washing:rotfl:

:o I'm afraid that the last couple of times things have broke under a year we've gone out and bought another one ...... then put the broke one in the new box and got a refund :o I even steamed off the serial numbers from a BT phone to swap them over.

Probably wouldn't work with a steam mop though unless you could somehow make it look like it'd hardly been used!

    Yes, I know we're naughty :o

How is the heated airer? :j. Can't wait to see what you think. Am going to order mine tomorrow. Now I am home on maternity leave it's easier to get it delivered.

I wonder at what age we become so excited by new household goods :rotfl: my new washing machine and the discovery of the heated airer have been one of the highlights of my year.
