I wonder at what age we become so excited by new household goods :rotfl: my new washing machine and the discovery of the heated airer have been one of the highlights of my year.

How is the heated airer? :j. Can't wait to see what you think. Am going to order mine tomorrow. Now I am home on maternity leave it's easier to get it delivered.

I'm a bit disappointed to be honest, it's damagedone of the support struts is bent so the bottom shelf keeps collapsing. I think they have good customer service though so I'm sure it won't be a problem to get it exchanged. It's just so frustrating, why can't anything be simple:mad:
It's funny how we love our household goods, anything to make life a bit easier. I'm really really looking forward to getting my range cooker next year, it's going to look so pretty :smileyhea
It so cold today, there was a thick frost this morning and I noticed that our log pile is decreasing rapidly. I was hoping not to have to order any until the new year but I doubt we've enough to last for another month even. We'll also need to order some gas soon, I don't want to run out over Christmas like we did last year
It should be a NSD today as I'm not going anywhere, Ds and dh are both poorly so we're just wrapping up and staying in the warm. I've made mushroom soup for lunch which we'll have with crusty bread and tonight we're having sausages and ratatouille.
At dd1's brownie group they do a secret Santa every year so I need to find a £5 present for her to take in tomorrow. I have a nail varnish set in my present store but I'm not sure if that is suitable for a younger brownie.

Evening, it's been a busy few days and we're all still feeling pretty grotty, I had to fetch dd1 home from school early today as she was complaining of feeling unwell. This has been going on for nearly 2 weeks now:(
It's been a NSD day today:T a friend came round for a cup of tea this morning, our daughters are going to have a joint birthday party so we started planning that, we have loads of great ideas and it's a good job its a joint thing as we'll probably spend loads on decorations, food and prizes etc.
I've started working out this months op today as it's almost the end of the month, still need to work out the grocery spends but I'm hoping we'll reach £500 in total. I've been playing around with the mortgage spreadsheet that I found on here and if we carry on overpaying mortgage 2 by £500 a month it will be cleared in 8 years. This should be achievable as long as our financial situation stays the same (touch wood)
This weekend we have 2 local Christmas fares to attend so will probably spend £10-£15 at these, we also have friends coming round for lunch tomorrow. We're having roast pork with all the trimmings and friends are bringing dessert:T will just need to get some fresh veg and drinks in the morning.
I have a few things to list on eBay over the weekend, I hope there's another flw soon as I have a few things that would be good as gifts to list. I'm annoyed with myself that I missed last weekends one:mad:
My new airer is now on it's way to me and the faulty one has been collected:T I'm very happy with Lakeland customer service, can't wait to get washing again:D
Having a nice drink of mulled wine now:xmastree::coffee:::xmastree:

It's been a lovely day today :j:j the sun has been shining which always makes me feel better:)
Money wise it's been a MSD, I had to buy fruit, veg and some drinks at the shops and I also spent £8 at the village Christmas fayre. It's all for a good cause though. This afternoon we had friends round for lunch which was lovely and the kids played beautifully.
I've just sat and written descriptions for 7 eBay items, I just need to take photographs in the morning when there's daylight and they can be listed. I really hope they all sell as there are some lovely items that were mistakenly brought so I hope I get some of my money back:cool:
Tomorrow I'm hoping to have a day to myself whilst dh takes the kids to see the mil. I really want to do some sewing and maybe also some Christmas wrapping. The advent calendar is up and ready to go and the children are desperate for Richard the elf to make an appearanceI can't believe it's December tomorrow, this year seems to have flown by!
Our family film for tonight is the lion King which Amazingly I have never watched.

I'm currently sitting in absolute silence in my house, dh has taken the kids out and it's soo peacful:) I can't remember the last time I had the house to myself and I intend to make the most of it:j
Jobs for the day are:
[STRIKE]Take eBay photos and list items[/STRIKE]
Start to sew dd's quilt - it won't be finished in time for Christmas but maybe by her birthday?
Work out November OP and pay it
Chill out
It will be a LSD today, just TKD to pay for, dd is doing her next grading next week which will be £20:eek: I hope she passes. I'm not sure what to do about dd2' after weeks of being dry at night she's wet the bed every night this week. I can't keep up with washing the sheets and the pj's! She doesn't want to wear nappies again and I've been buying the disposable bed mats but they're Bloomin expensive. I just don't know what to do...
My lovely next door neighbour has just popped round with some cakes left over from the Christmas fayre yesterday so I'm going to have a cup of tea and a cake and then get sewing :T
