Hi smlsave, sorry but it's all gone...it was yummy though:p
Today has been technically a NSD, went shopping to Ald! First thing and spent £47 :T I had quite a trolly full but didn't need to buy meat or nappies this week which is why I got a lot for my money.
I thought I'd share my meal plan for this week:
Mon: mini toad in the hole
Tue: baked potatoes
Wed: salmon stir fry
Thur: hm chicken burgers
Fri: something on toast
Sat:hm steak and ale pie
Sun: left overs.
I was really pleased with the mini toads today as I made 4 sausages stretch between the five of us by making 12 mini toads which was plenty with some mash and veg. :money:
I had a friend come around this morning for a cuppa and a catch up and she brought a lemon meringue pie which was lovely and a good swap for the baby clothes I passed on to her:)
Tomorrow I am being treated to a facial which I cannot wait for. As Mr C has been pretty unwell this year everything has fallen to me to deal with so he's treating me to a spot of pampering:T I also have to take Ds for a hair cut:eek: not a task to be undertaken lightly

Well the afternoon didn't quite go according to plan. The post office was closed this afternoon so the parcels didn't get posted. The book that I sold on amazon has unfortunately already been sold so I've had to cancel the order:( I also don't have any pumpkin in the freezer to make soup tomorrow so it's either going to be broccoli or sweet corn chowder.
I also didn't mention earlier that Mr C had a little bump in the family car and smashed the wing mirror on a neighbours wheely bin. It's going to be repaired tomorrow and is probably going to cost £100+
I managed to go out for a run though so that perked me up. I'm doing the Race for Life in 2 weeks so trying to get fit for that.:j
Going to watch all the house building programmes on tv tonight and get inspired/ jealous (not jealous of the mortgages though:D )
We lost money over the summer, while my Mr Gem was reversing in a car park someone slammed into my side door and we needed a completely new door. It cost £170
I love to watch grand designs/double your house etc for inspiration for gutting our cottage...0 -

What's your cottage like Gemdoll? We live in a terraced cottage that was originally built for farm workers. It was extended by the previous owners so isn't as tiny as it was but it has some fab characteristics. We even have a well in the back garden
Sorry to hear about your car troubles too. They really can be money pits :mad:Mortgage March 2011 £143,927.6

Tiny terraced railway workers cottage built in 1870.
It's teeny tiny at just over 500 sq ft!0 -
That sounds lovely Gemdoll, I'm imagining the Railway Children now, one of my favourite books
I've had a fairly spendy couple of days, we ended up having a take away last night which cost £20. We do have 2 meals out of that though as we only ate half. I also brought my friends little boy a birthday present and went out for a hot chocolate with a friend today. Tomorrow I'm going out for lunch with another friend and need to buy 4 kids birthday presents for parties that we have coming up:eek: what do other people do about kids birthday presents? It's very difficult to get a decent present under £7 I find.
I didn't get my facial yesterday:( I turned up on the wrong day...still at least I have it to look forward to next week:rotfl: instead I came home and cleaned and treated my sofas and found the grand sum of 21p down the sides...in the pig it went:T Ds had his hair cut yesterday and they didn't charge, so saved at least £5, I think I'll put that it in the tin ready to op next month:T

Good evening, it's been another busy and expensive day again today. I met my friend in a near by town and had a bit of a disaster with the car park machine so i ended up having to pay twice . I then brought coffee (a delicious pumpkin spice latte) and lunch in st@rbucks and had a good catchup/ moan with my friend. We then decided to mooch around the shop so I got Ds some new shoes for the colder weather, £36 in Cl@rks:eek: and then I stocked up on birthday gifts for the parties fom TK M@xx and got 4 gifts for £14 which I'm pretty pleased about, £3.50 per head:T
This afternoon I've been painting my dining chairs and I'm so pleased with how they are looking. I'm going to recover the fabric seats in oilcloth so I need to get that soon and they will be like brand new chairs
Tomorrow my dd1 has to wear orange to school, orange is not a colour that features heavily in our house and I refuse to buy something new so I remembered that I had brought an orange scarf a while ago and she's going to wear that tied in her hair. The things schools expect you to do! School are also having a fundraising evening tommorrow (chocolate bingo) so we'll be spending there too.
Salmon stir fry for dinner tonight which was yummy and some left over for lunch tommorrow :T
Cup of tea time now

I've had a bit more of a chilled out day today thank goodness. This morning I took Ds to a music group which was ok but I'm not going to continue it. I paid £10 for 3 trial sessions but I don't think he's getting much out of it as it's quite a complex class and pretty chaotic too. I feel exhausted when i come out of there. I might try swimming with him next week. I was also a bit naughty in that whilst Ds slept I just sat on the sofa and did nothing:cool: I felt guilty looking at the mess around me but I just felt so drained. I did order a couple of Xmas presents on am@zon using vouchers from TCB whilst I was sitting down though:T
It's gone so cold and miserable here I've got the fire lit. We need to order a delivery of logs and also get the chimney sweep in. We do budget for these things in with our electricity and gas budgets.
I've just popped £1 in my tin for my egg delivery to my friend and she's just reminded me that I'm working in her shop next Saturday which will go towards this months op.
We're off out to chocolate bingo tonight which tbh I don't feel like doing. I also need to go out for a run but can't really be bothered. Maybe I'll go in the morning. Just something easy for dinner tonight, eggs or beans on toast for the kids and probably left over stir fry for me and mr C. I still haven't got any new jeans after my fall 2 weeks ago and I'm pretty desperate now so that will be my next job.
Just waiting for mr C to come home with some milk now so I can have a cuppa. I hate running out of milk:mad:

 Hello Crumpets. Just been reading your diary and you are very inspirational. I'm loving it.
Quick question: what is chocolate bingo? I'm liking the sound of it but how do you play? I have visions of putting giant chocolate buttons over the numbers when they come up!!I'd be useless as I'd cover a number up and then just need to eat the button!
MFW Challenge 2019 - £2,420 / £2,420 - 100% :T0 -
Lol Moneymission, it's just normal bingo but the prizes are chocolate, which the kids enjoyed. Although there was an incident where we were robbed of the full house prize:mad: we got a consolation prize though :T it wasn't a cheap night though, £14 on bingo tickets and then drinks and snacks for the kids. It's a good job it's for a good cause:cool:
Thank you for reading my diary, I certainly don't feel like my ramblings are inspirational though:o
Just to update that I did go out for a run earlier and it made me feel much better :jMortgage March 2011 £143,927.6
