Partners Cat is Mental

To be honest I know a few men that would have accidentally left the door open if I had a cat as you described. The fact that you have taken the time to come on this forum and ask for advice is a good thing. I hear from my local vet all the time about stray cats and unwanted cats.
The next steps in all honesty is asking those close to you including your partner as it is her cat. It took my friend a long time to tell me about her cats behaviour I think she thought I would judge her negatively as I love my cat. But they are animals, smart animals at that and shouldn't rule the home0 -
I saw this today and thought of you OP...0

My most constructive suggestion is to allow it out. This might not calm it down but hey, it will be out the house for some of the time, which both the cat and you might appreciate. Also it might take the opportunity to find itself a new home away from you. Or it might get run over which I'm sure you'd be pleased about, though the gf might blame you for it.Thanks, that's a bit kinder than saying it's me or the cat! (Although she is free to choose at any time). I think letting it out is worth a try and I will of course be keeping my fingers crossed for one of the eventualities you mention. My post #81 may be sprinkled with a little humour but the issue still remains and you can tell I'm still taking it seriously. I've not said anything on here I haven't already said to her, including the dreaded new acronym I've learned of PTS. It's looking like either keep it or PTS are the only solutions.
So you've told her you're keeping your fingers crossed for it to get run over if she lets it out?
Show her this thread and let her decide. It's her cat, her decision! I wouldn't be surprised if she chose to keep the cat and got rid of you, especially after reading some of your vile comments on here!0 -
To all the women who'd pick their cat over their man, fair play to you for finding such a pushover/poor excuse for a man.
Poor excuse for a man? I feel sorry for your gf being lumbered with such a nob!
If someone has offered to take the cat why are you pretending to care by saying it will end up with a nutter when a) it's already with a nutter (you) and
b) you want it run over/run away/put to sleep/dead anyway?
If someone wants to harm a cat they would just go and get one off the street, not listen to all your bull crap and plead with you not to harm it.
It sounds to me like you are very pleased with the amount of attention you are getting from your witty posts, well I hope the cat gets you big time. You deserve it!0 -

Most of those cats looked scared rather than angry. OP won't care though. Just more evidence of "evil" cats for him.0 -

If it gets me 'big time' then it'll be the last thing it ever does.0 -
Maybe you should go to the zoo then and start practising with a Tiger0
