Partners Cat is Mental

Joking aside.... yes definitely - as you are talking about a living creature so cost does not come into it.0

There was only 1 potential offer wasn't there? And that was way too far away from me. Not worth wasting the petrol on! (Sorry - I'm playing into your hands now). Obviously from a practical point of view, it would make sense for us to pursue local cats homes as much as possible, although each one says the same - that they're all full and the poor moggy is an unfavourable colour and obviously the biting puts them off and drastically reduces his chances of re-homing.
Where are you based? Maybe's someone could help you find a loving home for it. I have a friend who rescues cats and finds them loving homes.
ETA: My partner of 5 years and I have two rescue cats, one we resuced 2 years ago and 1 just before christmas. I've always said he'd go before they do!0 -
In cases like this, you have to think, What Would James Bond Do? In other words, a real man!
surely James Bond (in all his incarnations) was a smarmy womanising letch? Presumably in a situation like yours he'd be making lots of double entrendres about erm pusscats, and then shaking another Martini?0 -
OP, he sees her as his playmate. My arms are full of scars because I taught my cat from when he was little that I am his playmate. He would not hurt my husband but he goes nuts on me, to be honest the way I play with him tells him that this is acceptable so really it is my own fault. The cat cannot tell when your partner has stopped playing. My cat is the same, he attacks (plays with me
) goes away and then 5 minutes after comes back to continue the attack ( playing) When I have had enough I usually spray him with water or blow on his face and he lets go. A spray of water is vert helpful when training cats. Have one handy and use it whenever he gets out of line. 0 -

Indeed he was, but that doesn't stop the majority of women I know (various ages) all wishing Daniel Craig would whisk them off their feet in his Bond guise.
To all the women who'd pick their cat over their man, fair play to you for finding such a pushover/poor excuse for a man.0 -

Where are you based? I'm in the midlands and am missing a little horror. Mine used to stalk me at bedtime, hide on the wardrobe, then launch onto me at 3am. Lol
He also used to do a 'Kato' when I came through the door; attacking my legs and letting me drag him along the hall, as he was attached to my ankles. I miss him

No offence to anyone on here at all but the cats homes have stressed that we must not advertise him or offer to people we don't know. Apparently some unscrupulous people are taking in unwanted cats to somehow use in illegal dog fights - something to do with using cats to get the dogs wound up ready to fight? Possibly as a warm up to the main event?
Despite most of you thinking I'm a 'despicable' man, I am certainly not down with any sort of animal fighting, so we're sticking with proper rescue homes.0 -
You will never get a rescue space for the cat as all rescues are full.
I have succesfully rehomed 2 adult cats via Gumtree but you must know what you are doing as horror stories like the ones you were told about do of course happen.
If anyone offers the cat a home from THIS forum though - it is unlikely to be a bad ending as just in case you have not noticed - this is pet lovers not haters forum.
Als, re rehoming - google "Purrs in our hearts" anf their forum as there is a lot of rescues that may help and volunteers that may even help with transport.0
