No she wasn't fully trained just had used it a few times. I find it annoying as i do think it is her being stubborn! am debating whether to get a seat for the toilet. They have little mini toilets at nursery so might be more consistant.
All this talk of cake is making me hungry!0 -
Hi all, any exciting weekends? I reakon we'll have a quiet two weeks with Birdie away. Managed to get a bit done our end, some work for dad, got the house back to an acceptable standard, caught up on ironing, bit of writting, and traded in both our mobiles. Annoyingly mine wasn't in martin's tool so I had to go to every site individually. Still made us a hair over £100 between them. Spent lots of time playing with Grace, she's at such a happy age. Sadly the sleeping has gone to pot, she keeps waking between 2 and 3 for a bottle again. Does anyone have any suggestions? Last nigh she was nigh on hysterical, even after a full bottle she just screamed her head off when we put her back down. We were both up with her for over an hour, shattered today at work.
Not going skating tonight, its test night and I know I'm not at a pass level yet, so going to just spend the evening messing about with Gracie, NIM is working so will just be a girl's night.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

CMD - Can you get white chocolate kit kats or similar near you? I think they would work with a carrot cake
Simple vanilla frosting to stick them on with, then whatever you like on the top!
Bless Poppy! It might be that she would do better on the "big" toilet like you said? Must be frustrating for you if she's just being a little stubborn though!
Do we have a September threadie challenge?(and a SOA, Dinah!)

Will definitely be quiet with no Birdie hehe.
Sounds like a nice weekend Dinah. Always good to be able to get house back to normal!
No advise on the waking up apart from could it be teeth related or something else? I would worry about getting into a habit with the bottle but i know sometimes nothing else will settle them.
My weekend was nice. We went swimming friday, then saturday Poppy and I went to stay with my Mum and Dad. We went to a farm saturday and then a country park sunday . I went for a meal with my good friends from home as well on Sat night which was nice.
Agree with Cinny we need to see SOA!0 -

Max was very stubborn about it and went straight to the toilet. He wouldn't use a potty. We were at mother & toddler this morning and she had an accident. I think she was a bit freaked out about going on her potty elsewhere. I am hoping it is just a blip! LolTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

It will pass Dinah. Max used to be up all hours everytime he went through a developmental leap. She is just trying to process her new skill! I would give her the bottle, let her sleep with you. Anything you can do to get her through it!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I already have one new name to get used to! :rotfl: I didn't try the butterbeer over there - having tried it on both visits to the HP tour I finally learned my lesson and probably couldn't have handled further disappointment! I didn't send owl post or go to Ollivanders (huge queue) - I'm just going to have to go back
I think that is a brill idea about the white kit kats Cinny - you are a cake genius! I did the cake in CMDs picture for OH's birthday with a shop bought tray bake as I totally ran out of time and had to do it at work, but did the Sheldon Cooper 'Bazinga' version. He was so impressed, I felt a bit guilty that it had literally taken about 3 minutes!
Dinah, you have reminded me to trade in my mobile tonight. Its a little bit broken so will probably only get about £20 for it but every little helps! I've rejoined the £10 a day challenge on here again this month, I feel v old school!

And yes, I know that the unidentified £1700 on the amex every month is the big issue, but if anyone can see an issue in our regular bills please let me know as I think I've got those fairly tight.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

First glance (I'm on my phone!) would be, wouldn't it be possible to Skype back to Ireland? That way you could get an unlimited Internet package with landline for under £20 a month and save. Plus you'd probably be able to get cash back through quidco when you switch.
I also think a big mistake is spending on your Amex rather than straight from your bank. £1700 on spends each month is a LOT. I know NIM's fuel will be a big chunk of that - maybe you could scout around when supermarkets do their "so many pence" off a litre deals? Or ask family members if they have any going sparewon't be the making of you but it all helps. But when it's on your credit card you don't have any emotional attachment to that money, I know myself it's way easier to spend £10 on a credit card than it is from my bank (it hurts when money comes from my bank!) equally, I know this might be a cash flow thing so it's just something to think on
Aaand lastly, I'd think about getting an emergency fund together. Just a couple hundred to have hidden away in case something happens to the car or maybe it's Winter and NIM gets stuck somewhere travelling and needs a hotel for the night. I know I always say it, but Dave Ramsey! He puts a lot of biblical principles to his work, so that might strike a chord with you?
Basically, you work way too hard and have too nice of an income to be £400+ out at the end of the month. But I've got to say this is the most motivated I've seen you since the first few threads!0
