Are you finished now Star, or will you have anymore?
I'm done CMD. I do not *do* pregnancy very well. Not that I'm ill or anything I just HATE it. I know hate is a strong word but it is how I feel. I don't "bloom" and the worry and stress isn't good for me or the baby. (How mine are not both highly strung I don't know)
I would love a big family but pregnancy isn't for me. DH and I are considering fostering in a few years when DS is older and we are more stable financially. That way we can have our big family without the stress of being pregnant.
Sorry to all those who are pregnant. Some women suit pregnancy and really enjoy it. I am not one of those people
Would you have any more CMD?

Pregnancy speeds up my metabolism so it defintely suits my figure. Lol!
No - I am done. In a way somedays I think I would like one more and other days I couldn't bare it. OH didn't even want one (obviously he has totally changed his mind now!) so I have done quite well. I do get sad somedays as my last pregnancy was extremely stressful from start to finish and I didn't get the time to enjoy it as much as I could have.
But - I have 2 wonderful children and they are getting easier by the day, so I think I am grateful for my lot! I also don't see how another one could slot in, we are on our way to getting out of debt etc etc so I want to just chill out once we buy our house.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I'm really sorry about your babies twin Flower, that must have been so hard to go through.I'm done CMD. I do not *do* pregnancy very well. Not that I'm ill or anything I just HATE it. Why is it every time you get all enthused with energy something knocks you down? I woke up yesterday feeling quesy, figured it was just nerves about meeting HR, had the meeting, felt even more sick, figured I hadn't really eaten in 2 days, came home, had a bread roll, and promptly started throwing everything up I think I ever ate. So yesterday was spent shaking and shivering through that, but today has been better if not totally back to normal. I got on the scales this morning and I lost 5.2lbs in a single day, which just goes to show how sick I was!
HR meeting went okay, I had to agree a return date to work or they'd begin dismissal procedures. So we've agreed on August 5th, really not sure how I feel. I knew I'd have to face up to this eventually, I just wish with all my being I didn't have to.
Moneysaving today and yesterday, well, not much. This evening I put in a Tesco order as the cupboards (or rather fridge) is very bare, I checked around for voucher codes and managed to save £2.50 off my £41 order, and I get a £5 voucher off a shop next week, so between those it worked out cheaper than walking down with the buggy tomorrow and running the risk of getting distracted by 'bargains'.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Glad the meeting went ok. Are you stil going to be able to use holiday to work part time?
I get the £5 off tesco next week , every little helps! I do find i save money by doing it online.0 -
Shame really I was a complete shambles at it and it could have killed me!
Swings and round about!
Sorry to hear you were pushed into a return dateHopefully it won't be long until you're back on your feet with money and able to make choices for work based on what feeds your lifestyle, rather than being chained to a job because of financial reasons. If you start getting stressed, you know where I am to talk! I'd also get a bottle of rescue remedy if you can, I was actually on it this morning because of work. Had enough that I feel all floaty now
I'd love to foster too, Star! If OH was more into the idea, I'd have happily gone straight down the adoption route over TTC.0 -
Sorry to hear that Flower
((((((Huge Hugs)))))) Hope you're taking it a bit easy too.
Dinah - sorry to hear that you haven't been well. Glad that you agreed a start date with work. It's not ideal but it's also something you are doing for Grace. I hope that when you calculate your figures it's possible to go part-time, that sounds like a good compromise. How's NIM getting on with work? ((((Hugs))))
Cinny - exciting to be getting new tattoos! What will you have? I was thinking recently of getting another one, I have two small ones that I got as a teenager.
Good luck with the buggy sales CMD, you're doing so well. That would be a nice chunk to pay off.
Looking forward to pics Shrimpy :j
AFM - the DIY has taken another grievous turnWhen we removed the tiles we noticed that there was electrical cabling sticking through the wall, we had clipped the jackets of some live wires . Luckily we had the power off just in case. Atm it doesn't look safe to me. Those should all be sealed off nicely in trunking. The electrician is coming on Sunday to have a look and run some tests. I am pretty sure he will say it all needs rewiring, not sure how long that will take or how much it will cost. Considering our original budget was £500 and we are now on £750 it's a bit of a blow. But I have been ultra-MSE in sourcing everything so OH will just have to liberate his iron grip on the savings :rotfl: We are OP-ing the mortgage but into an ISA. Because we are shared ownership we really need to, in order to even think about buying the other half of our place. So the kitchen will be in uproar for a while longer.

Argh, what a 'mare Lara! Hope it doesn't cost you too much to get sorted, this is what puts me off DIY, I know we'd end up having some very expensive disasters!
Sorry to hear you were ill Dinah, at least it wasn't while you were away.
Also sorry about work pushing you to go back. At least now that you've got a start date you can focus your energies on being in a positive frame of mind for your return, try to look forward to it rather than dread it.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Sorry to hear you were so unwell Dinah. At least it was after the hols and not during. Was the wedding lovely? I'm sorry to hear you have been pushed into a date, but as the others said, maybe you can turn it on its head. Can you work out how long you have to work before you can go part-time or give up (like calculate how many paydays) and then go hell for leather to reach it?
Lara - so sorry to hear about your DIY disaster. Our flat in Scotland is very old and when we tried to free some shutters one nearly clonked OH on the head and getting them sorted cost a lot of money. I find that old places can really seem like a money pit!
Cinny - I hope work is going okay for you. Sounds a bit stressful in there at the moment.
How many days/weeks to the wedding now Wendz? What is Poppy wearing? She will be just gorgeous! Your wedding band is very similar to mine. I have a solitaire ring with a very skinny band so needed a plain band. I think I will get OH to get me a sparkly band for our 10 year anniversary though. There is way more choice now and I am not into eternity rings!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I forgot to say, I like the simpleness of your ring Wendz! Can't wait to see the pictures
CMD - I saw this ring set (even though you're not in need of one) and thought of you!
Work is just a bit bleh, really. Keep on getting our wrists slapped at the moment, for no real reason other than my male boss is on a power trip 24/7. I'm in "for a word" this afternoon, so heaven knows what that's about. I get all my work done, all the clients like me. Don't see what else there is to my job! I'm off to see about a possible other job on Wednesday so I might be leaving. How my jobs work is the family rents part of our office out to my second job. My family job is literally 2 steps from my second job! I know if I just up and leave it there will be a bad atmosphere, I kind of want to be able to say "I'm leaving because of THESE REASONS."0 -
Lara - eek about the DIY disaster. Hope it doesn't cost much to sort.
CMD - 50 days today (7 weeks and a day) eek! Poppy's dress is this one http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_248020611485_-1
Her two bigger cousins (4 and 6) are wearing the same.
That would be nice to get a ring for your 10 year anniversary:).
Sorry to hear about the work problems Cinny. Hopefully this other job opportunity may be better.0
