Birdie!! I'm so excited for you :D I let out a little squeal at work, so people think I'm barmier now. Sending a little surprise with your dress now :D Good luck today, so happy for you and your OH :j

I love Cherry's videos on YT, btw. Can't think if I read this on the old thread or this one, I found her through her tattoo story videos :) I love her wardrobe too!

So glad you're sounding so optimistic, Dinah! Liking the vibe of this new diary :)

Who is it that's in for the July meet, btw? Trains are diddly on a Sunday, so I don't know if this will be a problem for some people :( Will have 3 fresh tattoos by the time it rolls around, so I'm hoping for nice weather as I hate covering them up!

Oh, and Dinah / NIM - could you PM me your paypal address? Still owe you those pennies!

Lovely ring Wendz. :) I wanted a nice simple one like that but it didn't fit neatly against my engagement ring due to the shape so had to get one with a crossover detail. :) Now whenever people are talking about getting engaged I say 'Buy a set! Make sure you can get a wedding band to match it!' No-one listens though... then they complain that they can't easily find a wedding band! :p

Ooh I love surprises Cinny! :D

Stupid veins weren't playing so I have to go back to see a phlebotomist on Friday morning... 3rd appointment in a week, this is a record even for me! :p

I need your paypal address too guys. :)

OH doesn't really believe it and has declared that he won't sleep until he sees a scan picture... so I have a feeling we'll have to pay for a private scan in a few weeks to put his mind at ease! :o

hello hello and happy new thread to everyone!

firstly BIG congratulations to Birdie - super super exciting, so chuffed for you :D

Dinah, glad you had a lovely break and you've come back with a fresh outlook. It sounds really positive, doable and most importantly, something that will benefit all three of you. As (I think) Lara said, having a medium term goal really focuses where you are in the short term and it sounds like you've already got more perspective by stepping back to where you are.

Wendz, can't believe you're getting married next month!

Promise to be better at keeping up with this thread - I've lurked like anything, but missed out on chatting. Stupid work/life balance! It's getting better though and the sun helps :)

Love the ring Wendz, it's so close now! I did exactly the same as you Birdie but found a curved one that fits well. Eventually.

I really wish I could come to the next meet! I want to dress up in pretty clothes! Waaah! :p

Lovely ring Wendz, I went for something really similar too, a wee tiny bit thicker. Can't wait to see pics of your wedding! I am sure you're really looking forward to it now.

Today is such a lovely sunny day here, it's so nice to have all the windows and doors open. It makes such a difference to have some good weather, it just puts you in a great mood.

Today has been good - a really helpful meeting with my supervisors. Tonight we're having a mate round for sone dinner. Beers are in the fridge, and I am just about to go out for ice lollies. Yay! :j Summertime. Where are the appropriate smileys? We need a barbecue one, one with sunburn, one in a mankini :rotfl:

Happy new thread :D Glad you had a lovely holiday!

Birdie - congratulations!! I do still lurk on the less than 12 weeks thread sometimes so did see your post and had a little 'yay!' for you :)
I'm so very pleased for you!

Warning - Mums-to-be (aka Birdie and Flower) don't read further as this is upsetting.
2 of my close friends lost their little baby a few days after he was born. I won't go into 2 much details but I can't make sense of how this could happen and I am seriously questioning everything at the moment :(

How awful :( I hope your friends are doing as well as can be expected.
When I was pregnant with DS a friend of OHs lost her baby only a few hours after he was born. They pretty much knew it was going to happen but doesn't make it any less horrible for them. I remember feeling very guilty and anxious after that.
Life really is not fair sometimes. Not sure if I posted on this thread about it but this pregnancy did start as twins and I lost one, was the most horrible experience of my life so cant even begin to imagine how hard it would be to lose a baby that has been born.

That's so sad Flower, really sorry you had to go through that but what a fighter your surviving baby must be!

I'm having a super boring week at work, wish it was Friday already! It is sooo exhausting having to look busy for 8 hours a day! :p

Has anyone been working on anything crafty recently? I'm currently cross stitching MIL's name with the vague idea of making a little picture out of it for her birthday, need to get a move on as it's for her birthday next weekend! :)

Oh Flower, I didn't know. I'm so sorry, it must have been a horrible time especially with worrying for the other little one. Hope everything's going well for you now?

Nothing crafty for me unless you can include drawing! Been looking at tattoo conventions as Mr Tattoo says he thinks it'll be good for me (whatever that means!) so I'm getting a little crafty with my skin I suppose.

How are people getting on for JDIJ? I've decided to put myself out there a little more, and start doing little nice things just because I want to and not worrying what people think. So more a mentality than an actual list of things to do!

Thank you both. Was very horrible and still isn't very nice to think of but we're trying to concentrate on this little one and touch wood at 18 weeks, I have finally stopped bleeding and the remaining baby is doing fine :)
Running around after a very lively toddler helps keep my spirits up as well!

Haven't really got anything planned for JDIJ to be honest. Probably sounds bad but at the minute I am quite happy plodding along. Our debt is slowly decreasing, things are going well with baby so plodding seems to be working for us at the minute!:o
